His stuffed bear as well as sticks and stones he brings in from the back yard.

Favorite Food:
Natures Vally granola. No question about it.

So far we walk around the neighborhood and everything is so new and exciting he can hardly take it!

Best Tricks:
He does all the basic stuff as well as "gimme ten" "spin" "bang" "sick em" (when playing with his bear)

Arrival Story:
My little sisters full blood Pug (female) and Dauchshund (male) had puppies and of course he was too cute to pass up!

Our First Entry

Well it is obviously me and Gus' first diary entry. I cannot even tell you how great it has been having Gus in our home these past 4 weeks. I have to say I am in love with tis little guy!

Yesterday, I was sure we made a milestone when he went and sat at the door, I let him out, and he went potty. He has only had two accidents in the house since I take him out fairly regularly, not leaving time to have any accidents. BUT tonight after his walk (and after relieving himself at least 3 times durring the walk) we came home and played inside...then he had his 3rd addicent in the house (not even 30 min after comming in)! I was heartbroken because we had made it so far! So tomorrow we are going to start some hardcore "let me outside to potty" training...and by hardcore I mean persistent and consistent. Wish us luck!

On another note my husband and I have planned a vacation for the end of August. It will be for 8 days and Gus will not be joining us since it isn't really a pet friendly travel society....With that said we will have to leave Gus at a kennel which breaks my heart! I do not live near family and I don't have anyone who I can trust to puppysit...sigh. It is crazy how emotionally attatched I am to this puppy I have even considered canceling the vacation(but my husband was not to happy with that idea). I am hoping to figure it out soon and make both Gus and myself more comfortable with this idea.
