Birthday: February 1st 2007 Likes: Sniffing and sniffing the ground on long walks. Pet-Peeves: Brooms, gun shots, thunder and loud bangs. Favorite Toy: Her quacking stuffed duck and squeaky toys. Favorite Food: Carrots. Favorite Walk: Verna loves to be off leash in the woods to sniff all things wild. Best Tricks: Tricks? Hmmm... She likes to sleep on top of her crate like Snoopy! Arrival Story: Verna is our rescue dog from the Greater Nashua Humane Society in NH. She was transferred there from Shelby Animal Shelter in Alabama and had been in a shelter her whole life until we adopted her. She has skeletons in her doggie closet, but we work with her and she is a good dog. She has put on a healthy five pounds and now she looks great! See her skinny picture? Poor thing! Bio: When we adopted Verna we thought maybe she was a Beagle/Vizsla mix based on her build, temperment and her webbed toes. I was reading in a Vizsla Rescue Fund book last night about how often people confuse a Vizsla for the Redbone Coonhound. After a little breed research, I think maybe Verna is part Redbone Coonhound. Her face is definitely Beagle. Forums Motto: Verna, Master Marker I've Been On Dogster Since:
