Arrival Story:
I went to the pound to look at getting a dog or a cat for my mom. She didn't see anything that pulled her heart strings. I must have walked by Ollie's kennel 3 times before I looked in. You see the picture on the front (with all the info) was of a german shepherd. well I lived in a little apartment and that was not going to work for me. So as I walked around not finding the right one, I saw this kennel and noticed I hadn't seen a dog there. I walked up and looked really hard and adjusted my eyes to see the shadows. There he was, curled in a ball. He wouldn't even come to me until five minutes later after lots of gentle talk. I found out he had just gotten there about two hours earlier and I put a hold on him. They had to make sure a owner didn't come along looking for him. So I called back two days later and they said I could come pay and do paperwork. I didn't get to take him home until 2 days later due to him getting altered. They told me he was about three. Now I just celebrate his birthday on October first. He will be six this fall. Ollie is the most perfect dog in the world for our family. He is so chill, not hyper or yappy, you wouldn't think he had any chi in him at all. He sleeps with us everynight. Is excellent with our kids. loves going for rides. Everything I could want in a dog, he is!
