Who's this quail you speak of?

What a long fun day today. Mom and dad took me hunting. Since I'm still training we only go for a few hours and call it a day. Which is fine by me:) Well today mom looks at me and says "today is your Quail hunting day" Who's quail and why am I huning him? I thinks to myself. Well whatever. If it's a bird then I likes him. We get to the club place and mom gives me this wing. I remember smelling this. Oh yes I do. I likes this scent! I sit there while mom and dad talk to a guy and apparently everything is set and we're good to go roam about. So mom takes me off my leash and me her and dad start a walking. I'm used to waiting while dad shoots a bird and I go get it. This adventure is somthing new I thinks to myself. Well I smell the scent of that wing. I smelled it and it got closer and I found it! It's here in this grass stuff. So I go over and I'm a smelling and i point it out to mom. Mom says GOOD BOY!!! Come here honey!!! so I goes to mom and mom points my smelly spot to dad. Dad goes over there and WOW!!! look at this bird fly!!!! OOOO!!!! When can I goes gets it mom!!! Can I go!!! MOM!!! BAM! Dad shoots it and mom says FETCH!!! Off I went! I'm like freakin lightning I tell ya!!! I goes and gets the bird and I bring it to mom. I like mom best after all. I wanted to give her my birdie. I gives her the birdie and I got loves and kisses and good boys. LOVES IT!!! So we do this 4 more times. I smells em, dad shoots em and mom gets em. And I gets lots of loves.. lots and lots of loves... So we go back to the club place and the guy there says I am sooo good for being a puppy and he gives me a treat and takes my picture with the birdies I got for mom and dad. What a fun day!!! I think I might be braggin here. But I'm pretty sure i rock at this hunting thing:)

I'm a big boy now! A big boy in big trouble!

OK. So hears my story..... Two days ago I lost two of my baby teeth. We were all sooooo excited and I got a treat from the tooth fairy and everything. It was sooo cool!!! Well I thought that it would be a fun idea to try my chewing skills out. You know... To make sure everything was still ok even though I'm two chompers low right now. So here I'm walking along. Not being suspicious or anything. Just being the big boy that I am now. Just walking around all innocent like. Here I see a black wire! "Well, let's try to chew on this!" I say to myself. Seemed like a perfect time and place to chew. So I chew and chew and find my chompers are working well enough for me so I continue on my way into the next room. Next thing I know my mom is yelling at me and saying I'm a bad boy and I'm in trouble and for me to wait till dad gets home. Then she shows me that black cord I was testing my chompers on. It totally dawned on me. I think that might have been something she needed. OOOPS!

My sisfur Athena

I am so sad. My sisfur Athena passed away Monday night. Mommy took her to the vet because she was having a hard time breathing and she couldn't hold down food. By the time mommy got her there she was in bad shape and the vet said she had some lung disease type thing and she ended up not making it. Mommy keeps crying and crying. I try to keep her busy with exercise. I run around the house with her shoes so she chases me. Then I took the brushy stuff off the broom and ran with that outside. Mommy had to chase me down to get that back too. I think it's doing her some good. She finally got some sleep last night. I hope Athena is watching from the rainbow bridge. I think she would be proud. I sure did love that itty bitty three legged kitty

Rest in pease my sisfur Athena. I hope to meet you on the rainbow bridge someday.

Ohhhh Fireworks!!!!

Wow fireworks are flashy! I like to watch and bark at them! woof woof!!!! There were lots of people here. I smelled on lots of shoes and I played with some kids. They are fun! Full of energy just like me!!!!! I can jump on the bed all by myself now!!!!! I'm getting so big! I'm a big boy now! Kinda.....
K.... I'm going to go steal that shoe sitting there on the ground. It looks tastey

Hi! I'm Jake! I just joined a new family today. I have a sisfur Athena and a mom and dad who is spoiling me rotten! I luv it! There is a huge front yard to run around and I have lots of toys and stuff. I'm so glad that I'm here on Dogster too!
