Happy New Year!

I just knew it! Mommy went & decorated around me with New Year's stuff & had me pose with a champagne glass filled with something I was not allowed to drink! Bummer! Oh well, it kinda stung my nose when I went to check it out. Mom gave me lots of praise & more cookies, so it was worth it in the end. She sez I won't have to pose for anymore "silly" photos for a while since there's no new holidays.

Whew! I can just relax & be me for now! Hurray!

Merry Christmas!

Well mommy did it again! She made me wear a Santa hat with bells, & strung me with colored Christmas lights for my Christmas photo. She says I need a new Christmas photo. I feel sooooo humiliated. But mommy gave me some cookies, so I guess it's ok anyway. She said I did an awesome job too! I love hearing that I'm a good boy & that she loves me, so I put up with all her crazy ideas. It makes her happy, & that makes me real happy too...that & getting treats! I'm not sure, but I'll bet a big bag of doggy cookies that she'll come up with something for New Year's eve too.

My Breed?

I hear that daddy ran into a woman at work today out walking her dog, & it kind of resembled me. She has a Japanese Spitz. So mommy & daddy started searching through pictures & found a breed that looks very much like me! They aren't sure since I'm a rescue but if I'm not a Volpino Italiano (Italian Spitz) than I am most likely an Indian Spitz. BOL Even the description of both breeds sound like me!

I'm not sure why that's important, but mom & dad have been trying to figure out what I am since my gotcha day. I guess that's something that humans like to know...they get asked a lot about me when we go places. So I guess that's why they have been looking.

Sept 28th...

...It's already hot & humid this morning, but I'm feeling a lot better! Mom sent dad to get some Benedryl late last night because I was still having some discomfort from the wasp sting. Mom just gave me a little bit, but it did the trick! This morning, I woke up feeling really great though! No more pain or swelling! Yippee!

Thanks Daddy for being a good sport & getting me some medicine! I know you were really tired from a long day yesterday.

It's Monday Sept 27th...

...and it's the hottest day of the year. It peaked at about 111 degrees today. Yuck! Mom waited til it cooled down a little to take me out for a walk (which was sooo hard cuz I really really wanted to go out!), & everything was just fine until I went to run on our grass afterwards to cool my feet. I jumped & let out a yelp, & started licking my front leg. I dunno what happened but boy did my leg hurt a lot! I thought licking would help, but mom picked me up & said not to do that! She tried to find out what had happened but I kept fighting her. I just wanted the pain to go away fast! She carried me into the house, & by that time, my leg had started to swell a little & the hurt area was turning pink. Mom got out the anit-itch spray & told me I was probably stung by a wasp. It was so painful! Mom also got out a nice soft cloth with some liquid that smelled really nasty! I sooooo didn't want that stuff anywhere near me! But you know what? It worked!!! Yippee!!!! The swelling has gone down & my leg isn't bothering me at all now. Thanks Mom! You take such good care of me!

Spring is Here!

The weather has been really nice for the past few weeks, so mommy & daddy have been taking me lots of cool places lately! We've been down to the harbor in Dana Point, we went to Old Town Temecula, & then we drove down to Anza-Borrego to see & smell the pretty wild flowers. It was really nice, & the air smelled really really good! Of course, I left my mark, so other dogs would know I've been there. And some nice ladies gave me lots of attention too!

Yesterday, we went to the Upland Dog Park, & I had a blast! But when I got home, mommy gave me a bath! I had my hair just the way I liked it too! Now I smell all frou frou, like a French poodle!

Well, now it's time for a nice nap before dinner.

Hair Cut

Mommy decided because summer has returned to give me a hair cut. I look so different from when they first got me! But it is much cooler. We are expecting triple digit temperatures by the weekend. Daddy says he's looking forward to fall & cooler weather, but that's months away. I won't mind either! It's not fun wearing a fur coat in summer!

The 1st Annual Pet Expo-Upland, CA

My family took me to the 1st Annual Pet Expo Saturday Aug 22nd. It was a pretty cool event even though it turned out to be a pretty hot day temperature wise. It made it into the 90's & we were trying to stay in the shade as much as possible. Mommy kept checking my feet to make sure they weren't getting burned by the pavement. They also took me to Feed & Fuel to cool me off on the soft sod they provided. There was also a nice big fan with a mister. Did that ever feel nice! We watched the Dock Dogs...long distance jumpers. The dogs would jump after a toy into a big pool of water. I like water, but I like to have my feet on the ground! There were lots of vendors, pet rescue groups (which reminded me where I came from), & other cool things too.

My sister took my newest Dogster portrait while we were there. I think it came out pretty good! Thanks Megan!

We also got to see Cesar Milan! He was the guest of honor & main speaker for the day. He was very cool! After that, the pavement was too hot on my feet, & we were all tired & hungry so we left. Mommy says she would have liked it better if it were held in a nice grassy park with more shade trees so I wouldn't have to walk around on the hot pavement or be carried.
