Arrival Story:
Tasha was found by a good samaritan who brought her to the shelter. When she was found, she had an old collar with three different chains attached and she either broke free or someone dumped her at a construction site. We are certain that she was used for breeding in her previous life. She came into our possession weighing only 40 pounds and now she weighs about 65 pounds. She has gone through a lot of trauma and was truly in a horrible place. She is up to date on all her shots and is spayed. The last obstacle we had with her was her left eye. We were not sure that she could see out of that eye, but after a doctor's visit to an eye specialist we found out that she can see. She just needed to be put on some eye drops to further heal an old eye injury to her eye. She is still timid around people but once she has your trust, she loves to get daily belly rubs. Tasha loves and will run and play with her other packmates. She also loves to play with toys! Currently at her foster home she is not crated and is allowed to roam around the house at her will. Her foster home has a doggy door and she uses it at her leisure. She is potty trained and does not have accidents in the house. She is in need of a home that will work with her shyness towards humans and will love her for the dog that she is and develops to be as she gains back her trust in humans again.
