Favorite Toy: new fave toy alert: THE BOUNCY BALLS!!! oh, my! & any 1 x 1" scrap of fabric.
Favorite Food: Flint River Ranch & anything Mexican & spicy.
Favorite Walk: on the trail, with Sable.
Best Tricks: catching a fly, (even with the one pirate eye) -- tracking & catching the BOUNCY BALLS!!!
Arrival Story: my husband was walking Sable New Year's Eve 2003. it was pretty chilly out. this little guy came up & followed them home. we brought him in & cleaned him up. he had double dew-claws on both back paws, (since removed), which is why we named him Sixx. he was SUCH a good boy, because the claws were grown around & piercing INTO the pad, very bloody, swollen, & infected, & he let me trim them & ease them out, & clean the wounds all the time, without so much as a dirty look. he had old fly strike scabs all over his ears, but i worked on them & they healed up perfectly. he had a GIANT head & fuzzy fur then, so it was so hard to tell what he was; he grew into his head, & filled out to be a solid ox, with a nice, slick coat like Gretchen the Dachshund. he grew & grew, & GREW, then we found out he was part Rhodesian, well mostly Ridgie because you can barely see the Chow in him, just the eyes & the masking, & of course the ears. it is no secret as to his breed with his big ridge & slick fur now! he is clumsy, gangly, dopey, very silly, & super lovable, & we kept him. he is such a GREAT dog. he can look very silly or SUPER serious & scary; very amusing. he is terribly loyal & incredibly solid & strong. he has such a sweet, innocent, angelic disposition, it is odd to see him go into tuff-guy mode with strays when he feels like he needs to protect us. we love him to little pieces. ((:
Bio: he has an odd & very mild case of entropion of the right eye, which is too minor for surgery, so we just make funny pirate jokes at his expense. he is a major KLUTZ! he is a super watchdog, but is actually afraid of everything from the fat little dwarf bunny Luna, to the Meow-Meow, to an airborne soap bubble... however, we LOVE him. (: he just melts everyone's heart whom he meets; a real sweetie-pie. (:

6 + 7 = :: Lucky 13!!!my little brother gets to live with us!!! Ghostie! i am so lucky! i miss my pal Woden, (he went to live with our Auntie Gloria)... well, surprise, he had puppies somewhere with my mom when he was loose, (before he came here), & i have a brother named Ghostie! who gets to live with us now forever too! lucky, lucky me! sometimes when we visit Auntie Gloria, we all get to play, & we look funny because Ghostie looks like half me & half Red Husky like King Woden. people hardly even notice my pirate eye anymore, because Ghostie has weird eyes, too! one eye like me & one like King Woden, that icey blue color -- so his are wayyyyy weirder!
Stalker Sixx:: he peeped out from behind a dumpster & followed Sable & my Husband home, bit by bit, trying to hide behind things along the way. he was afraid of men in the beginning, so he did not come up to my Husband, but he did let me come outside & speak to him very soothingly & put a leash around his neck, & then he came inside for "The Big Bath" -- joke was on him!!
Sixx Fix:: Mister Sixx was neutered on Lundi Gras! (this is when he got his tattoo!)
part of my ear got snipped off. ): my big sister Sable had one of those funny plastic collars on her head because she got bitten by a "special needs" German Shepherd Dog that was staying here when she was abandoned by her people, & Sable kept taking her head bandage off. well, she had the E-collar on Saturday when she came home with Daddy. she came into the house with it, & i guess in my excitement to see her she zigged & i zagged. next thing you know i was missing part of my ear when it got caught in between the layers of the plastic collar & sliced off. mommie is soooooooooooo upset because she loves my big, beautiful ears very much, (plus Ghostie! says she has something called "symmetry issues" because she really cannot stand his two differently colored eyes.) now i have a bad eye AND a bad ear. boy, does it hurt a lot. ouch. so, now BOTH Sable & i have big bandages around our heads, & we cannot play or anything. borrrrrrrring. i am way better with mine, i only pawed it one time the first night. i have gotten lots & lots of treats every day because mommie says i am being so good with the bandage & being a very, very good boy. (i bet Ghostie! is jealous.) no bouncy bouncy ball for now... i hope everyone still likes me a lot when i am less handsome.
first an avalanche of bouncy balls, & now an avalanche of wonderful, new pals! why, thank you so much everyone for all the great pup pal requests. i was right, Mommie does have to fill in & help me with these, because i am so "swamped" (Louisiana joke) with wonderful new pals, i will never get through it all. this is just like when i opened my bouncy ball box from Maggie Mae! bathed in happiness. what wonderful days i am having! wow!
this Dog Of The Day stuff is something! i have sooo many new pup pals! Mommie has to help me take care of them all! PLUS, i have so many delicious bones & little stars & clovers & ribbons & rainbows! wow! this is amazing. i wish everyone could be here & share my special num-nums & all my new bouncy balls & play with Snibby, Ghostie!, & me!
