Roscoe escaped his fenced in yard at 6 months old. He saw another dog across the busy street and ran in front of a car to say hi while I was looking for him in the back yard. Upon hearing his cries, I ran out to the front. He was laying by the side of the road surrounded by the driver and a couple good samaritans. When he saw me and dragged himself to me and laid down at my feet because he couldn't use his hind legs. I rushed him to the animal hospital and he had broken both hips and required 6 weeks of crate rest. This was torture for the little guy because he loved to run and play all the time. He healed fully and is a happy and healthy dog today. He is very small for a full grown Male Keeshond... He weighed just under 20 lbs at 11 months and he has not gotten much bigger since then.
