Hi ALL! Thought I'd bark about what happened yesterday morning.

I was asleep on the couch, Peanut was in the recliner, Mom and Dad were still in bed. Peanut heard it first. Some kind of of tapping sound, something opening and closing. Well Peanut went back to sleep and I just had to investigate, the sound was coming from Mom's office. Hmmm wonder what it could be? Didnt sound like the fax machine, or the printer. ahhhh over in the corner, the bird cage. YES. Mr. Blue Bird was rasing the door up and down, well I hope the stupid thing is having fun, stupid bird waking everyone dog up around here. So I went back to the couch and just got comfy.

Then I must of dozed off cause I could have swore I heard the flapping wings thing that they do in the cage, ahhh, nevermind, I NEED to sleep drifing off again. Peanut heard Mom getting up and coming down the hall to the Pottay. So Mom is in the pottay (with the door open like she always does unless there are others about.) Then I see something flying out into the hall. I run full speed past the bathroom door, I barely catch the look on Mom's face looking sleepily perplexed.. Then I catch it in mid flight, feathers are flying everywhere and there is that small screech. Mom hears all this to and there are now feathers flying and floating down the hallway, Mom comes flying out of the potay, yelling at me to "drop it". DANG I get a bird indoors, what are the odds in that and she tell me to "drop it" Well I did, it started to fly away and I started after him again only th hear Mom again yelling NO!!!!
Mom herded the bird into the bedroom and closed the door, where Dad claims he was rudely awakened by my shenanigans . Dad caught Blue Bird and put him back in the cage where him and his companion sit and taunt me every day.
One of these days...............

Woo0Roo-Woo-Woo,
That is my Schnauzer salute for the Steelers, Mom sure is happy, Dad was even happy (he's not a Steelers fan) and well I guess I'm happy for Mom. She said it had been a long time since they had won.
We had a bunch of reallly good food to eat for the Bowl and Peanut and I kept circling the table for SOMETHING. All we got were a few chips, but there was some really good stuff up there. We could SMELL it.
Mom sure does get ridiculed alot for being a Steelers fan in Browns country, especially at work, so she will be in her glory today.
Well Congrats to all Steelers fans out there. Got one for the thumb.

Well football Sunday again. I know I'm going to get in trouble for this entry.
Well Mom had to work. Me and Dad were all set to watch the Browns and we did and we really enjoyed ourselves and the Browns actually won!!! Yes!! high fives all around (my latest trick). Well Dad got up and started doing things that needed done and I decided to snooze, I did notice before I nodded off that the Steelers were on and playing the Ravens. Eww geee I should watch this game. But I'm sooo tired. Well I woke up and looked at the game from time to time and it looked as if the Steelers had it wrapped up as usual.
Then Dad came back down stairs and said Mom would be home soon. He was watching the game and said that it was in overtime. Well the Ravens kicked a field goal and won the game. Oh, brother, Im going to find a place to hide. Mom is going to very upset over this , especially since the game went into overtime and all. Good thing I was at the groomers last week. he-he. I only had 1 hole in my skirt when I was done. Kim (the groomer) said it was an accident. I don't think Kim is a Steelers fan so I guess I'm safe. Well I hope so .

Happy Turkey Day To All My Doggiies Friends!!! Lots of football on Turkey Day.

Well today well tonite is the Steelers/Browns game. Dad's a bigtime Browns fan and all last year we watched the Browns me and Dad.

Well tonite Mom was walking down the hall with this black and yellow jersy and it said WARD on the back and Steelers on it. Well needless to say I had a fit and started barking and growling. Mom didnt't find this very amusing.
I kept grumbling even after she sat on the couch making my little grunts and growls.

Mom explained it was a Steelers jersey and she is a Steelers fan. She said she forgot that she worked 2nd shift last year and a lot of weekends and that she saw the games at work or listened to them .

Well I had no idea Mom is a Steelers fan. She said I better get used to it, then reminded me I had to go to the groomers tomorrow. Hmmm wonder why she said that?

Panic Attack

Today started off as any other day. I got up then woke up my roomie Peanut. Made sure that Mom was up to let us out. She was sad today, one of her classmates died. She was sad yesterday too. We will do out best to cheer her up. Well Mom and Dad went to work as usual and the almost grown human went off to school. She was real happy today and told us it was the last day of school this year. I think that means that she will be home now in the mornings. Yippee someone to play with and to let us our more often now that warmer weather is here. Goodie more birds to try to catch.
Mom came home from work and was still sad and had to rush off to see her friend for the last time she said.
THe smaller human was in charge now and she fed us and then to our surprise, she said the "walk" word! Well Peanut knew that one real good and was jumping all over the room. So... I decided to follow suit, this had to be good since Peanut was soooo happy. Well the smaller human put Peanut on the leash and out the front door they went. I howled so loud that it got the attention of the smaller human and the neighbors. THe smaller human came back right away and told me that it was OK and her and Peanut would be back soon. Be back soon? I didn't understand that. Peanut was going away without me!!! What if she didn't come back. I howled louder and louder and the neighbor came over and talked with me through the door and told me it was OK. That didn't work either. Well the smaller human said she could hear me a block away and came back. I was so happy when I saw Peanut walking back in the yard.
The small human then took me our for a walk and I was told that Peanut was a good girl and didn't kick up a fuss. But that she did watch me go down the road out of view and waited by the door till I returned. THen Both of us got to go for a walk together. It was a little difficult for the smaller human since I tend to zig zag on the leash. She wated to make sure I wasn't in the road by traffic. even though our streets out here aren't very busy some cars go too fast.
THe smaller human told Mom about how I carried on and she said that she thinks that I think Peanut is my Mommy and that I freaked out not knowing if she would return. Mom said she is going to have to work on this since Peanut is considerably older that me. What ever that means. Maybe I know what it's like when Mom was sad today. Mom said that friends are like gems and the older ones are irreplaceable. She said treat all your friends with love and kindness and visit often because you never know when they will be called away to the better place. I think I know what she means.
