Arrival Story:
We adopted queenie from a back yard breeder at 8 weeks old. When we went to see her from the breeder she was dirty, and sick, and the breeders husband accidently stepped on queenie's tail so her tail was broken. Until she was old enough to be able to be adopted we visited her every day. The day came when we actually could go and pick her up. We made appointment right away for her to see the vets and get her baby shots. A month after we adopted Queenie we had her spayed. Mommy signed up for obedience classes for 6 weeks, mommy was my trainer and handler. I passed the AKC test, received a certificate and mommy received one to for being my handler and trainer. I lived with mommy and daddy for 17 years I got the best of care from my vet, Dr. Zoni and lots of love. I was the queen of the house and mommy potty train me not to go in to the house I was smart and a fast learner. I even had a babysitter which was my human sister, she would watch me while mommy and daddy had doctors appointments or had other errands to do where you could not take pets.
Bio:
I lived with mommy and daddy for 17 years. They gave me the best of care, mommy groomed me except my nails because my nails were black and mommy did not want to hurt me so she took me to my very own groomers. I knew I was loved. One day I became very ill so mommy had to take me to the Vetinary Hospital, I had to stay there for awhile so they could run a lot of tests. The tests came back, the vet gave mommy the results. I had cancer, I knew it was going to be hard for my mommy for she shed so many tears. Mommy asked the vet how long do I have, the vet replied not long, maybe a week or two, it all depends. Mommy took me home tried to make me as comfortable as possible, she stayed by my side every night, mommy said she did not want me to die alone. She stuck my boo-bear right beside me because that was my favorite toy.
On September 17,2008, I closed my eyes and went to sleep. Mommy took me to the vets and had me cremated but daddy came and picked up my ashes. Mommy became very depressed because my human Aunt, Mommy's sister lost her battle to cancer also on January 17,2007 at the age of 51. I want my mommy know I am okay, I am not hurting no more or have no more cancer. I am with my all my furry friends and crossed the rainbow bridge. I know mommy will always miss me I am glad that my mommy went to the shelter to adopt another chihuahua, I did not want my mommy be alone. I am happy mommy can move on because this is what I would want her to do. My mommy gave me the best years of my life and the best vet care. I always will be mommy's angel now and I want to welcome my new sister Babydoll to mommy and daddy's home. I am okay mommy, I'll be fine. I am in no more pain. I know you miss me but thank you mommy for all the love you gave me and thank you for staying by my side and comforting me that I did not have to die alone. I know the new addition will receive the same love and care you gave me. I am happy for you mommy that you adopted Babydoll so you will not be alone. I love you mommy and daddy and Sammy.
