Tuesday was the last night of my puppy classes. Every puppy showed up. We worked on every thing that we had been learning. We all did so good.

Every one of the puppies in the class graduated. I graduated top of my class. I was even the only one to earn the AKC's S.T.A.R Puppy award. Can't wait till mom sends off for the award. I heard it's a big shinny medal.

I showed off my tricks in Sugar's class that she taught, which was the class after mine. I did, shake(right paw), Hi-Five(left paw) , and Roll Over. Boy was everyone shocked a 3 and 1/2 month old puppy could do that.

So now it's practice, practice, practice until my next class, which starts in October.

YAY for ME :)

Mom Forgot to make my entry public. Sorry it's late. Blame the momma person.

My fifth night of my puppy classes. Everypup was there this time. As always we worked on our sits and downs. We worked on stand again, and mom used the towel again to wipe my feet off. I tried to eat the towel once. We did our puppy play time, but this time our humans were asked to call us by our name. If we looked at them or even came to them, we were given a jackpot of goodies. Mom had to try a few times before I knew she was talking to me. I was just having to much fun. That is until the Golden sat on me. The teacher had to make her leave me alone because she was to big for me to get up. After playing we did our leave it's, and we all did great. Next we worked on walking nicely around the room on a loose leash. Every time I pulled, mom stopped, and starting walking in a different direction. What's this all about? Anywho, as we were all walking around a big loud whistle blew. The teacher said that it was part of the S.T.A.R puppy test. All of us pups passed, but you should have seen those humans. They all stopped suddenly and looked at the teacher...BOL!! Then next thing we worked on was settle. That Flat Coated was full of energy. We did our recalls next. Every puppy did so wonderful. The next thing we did was, our leash was handed to the teacher and our humans walked away from us. Can you believe my mom left out of the room.... No worries, I didn't care. She came back very shortly. She said I was a very very good girl. Next we got to do the jump again. WEEEE!!! I fly over that thing. It's so fun!!! We did something mom calls a wobble board next. At first I didn't want to, but once I got the hang of it, it was fun to. OMD the next thing was a tunnel. I had never seen one of these before. Mom throw some treats in it, then went to the other end and called me with more treats. It was pretty cool. I kept going back in it on my own thinking that there were more treats in it. BOL!! At the end of class the teacher asked and answered questions. She told mom that so far I am the only puppy in this class that could pass the S.T.A.R puppy test. I'm So Happy!!!! The only reason the others won't pass yet is because some of them missed the classes. They can make up the classes and still pass. Yay!!

Tonight was my fourth puppy class. There were only 3 pups in the class tonight. I think mom said some of the pups humans were not feeling good. Of course the Cocker was not there because of what happened last week. So it was just Lola a Brussels Griffon, Cinder a flat coated retriever, and me. We worked on all our usual stuff, sit, down, leave it. We did pass the puppy again. That's were we are passed to the next person to examine us. Mom is so happy that I am a very calm puppy. The Retriever was wild and crazy. We did our puppy playtime. No Golden to sit on me this time. I chased the FCR all around, then went to play with the Brussels. We had lots of fun. Next mom did something I never heard of before. She asked me to sit beside her, told me stay, showed me a hand signal, and went in front of me. Wait ma, where you going? I popped up. We did it a few more times and I kinda understood. I'm not sure about this one yet. The nerve of her. She asked for a down, stay, signal, and went in front. I stayed till she came back to my side. There's no telling what she may have found so I had to go check and see if she had anything for me. Ma says I gotta work really hard on these. We did our stands and while we were standing we had to be groomed. Mom just used a dry towel and ran it down my back and along my feet. Next week mom hopes to set a table up first, the floor was hard on her knees. Next we were introduced to a bar jump. Like they use in agility. Oh boy, that was fun. I got to jump over the bar and get lots of treats each time I did it. After we had fun jumping bars, we all did our recalls. I did it perfect. I even sat in front of mom when I got to her. YAY ME ! ! ! Two more classes left. I might become an AKC S.T.A.R puppy, as long as mom remembers to bring my poop baggies. BOL! Oh, I learned how to shake(give paw). I am sooo smart.... heeheehee

Tonight was my third night of puppy classes. We worked on our sits and downs. Everypup is getting really good at it. We did our dog attention, but this time we were asked to look at out humans for longer than just a second. I watch mom all the time, so this was easy for me. We worked on our stands. Mom doesn't use her hand to block my back legs because I tend to lean to the side, so she just lures me into a stand. We took a potty break, and I quickly came back inside. Mom got me to try the wobble board. It's kinda like a very small see saw. I was so scared of that thing. Ma tired to lure me with treats, but I just stretched as far as I could to reach them. BOL! Finally she just picked me up and put me on it. She held me there while she made it move back and fourth. I soon realized it wasn't gonna get me. I have not tried the tunnel yet. Only cause mom doesn't have another person on the other side to call me to them. I hope to try it next week. After potty break, the humans were asked to calmly examine their puppies. Check our ears, feet, bellies, necks, etc. Then we were passed on to the next person. I don't mind people going gaga over me. I kinda like meeting new people. Mom had to go meet the Cocker boy, and well, he was not so nice to her. He growled at first, then came to her but when she went to pet him, he bit her. Ma says it didn't hurt and he didn't make her bleed but he did break the skin. Bad Puppy. GRRR! Well this is the part where things go crazy. We started to do our puppy playtime, when the Golden went to play with the Cocker and he growled at her very badly. The teacher went over to separate them. We she picked the Golden up, the Cocker bit her badly. He got her right in-between the pads. Mom gave me to some one and took the Golden to the bathroom to put her foot under cold running water. She finally got it to stop bleeding and check her all over. That was the only spot that nasty Cocker got her. Poor puppy. Mom says she'll be okay. Just her mommy has to keep it clean and put some antibiotic ointment on it. So by the time all the humans settled back down our class was over.

When we got home, our teacher had called us to know more about the bite to moms hand, and decided that that Cocker boy was not allowed to come back to class. Mom says she feels bad about that, but it's not her class so she can't make the rules. Our teacher is going to work with his humans and him privately if they want. Mom says he may have a "screw loose". His humans has been told to contact his breeder about his aggression to. I sure hope he gets better.

Oh, an update about my sickness. I am getting better. I had some kind of bacteria called Cocci(not Coccidia). I had really really runny poo. Mom went to my dogter, and got me some antibiotic medicine. It's helping a lot. I am feeling much better now. No more runny poo, just a little loose. Ma says the medicine will help and I will get back to normal. YAY!!!!

Tonight was my second puppy class. I didn't get my foot caught under the door this time. I remembered to wait for it to open. We had two more pups join our class. One is a girl Brussels Griffon and the other is a Shih-Tzu. We went over our sits and downs. Everypup is doing really good on those. We did "leave it" again. Mom says I'm doing better at that. We did some puppy play time. That darn Golden found me again and sat on me. She even had the nerve to bit my neck again. Mom says that I don't know what to do because I am the one doing the biting in my house. My sisters and brothers don't sit on me, thank goodness or I'd be squashed. She says I have to learn to take up for myself. After playtime we took a potty break, then came back in to learn "stand". Mom has me sit, then says stand as she moves the treat forward in front of my nose. At first she tried to block my back legs with her hands, but noticed that I would learn to the side. So she just used to treat to lure me into a stand. We're gonna be practicing that on a table, being that I am a short dog. We did dog attention. Mom called my name and I looked right at her. I was good. We tried to walk around the room(loose leash walking) but I was so distracted by every thing moving I wouldn't walk. Then we had to come by our names. I do okay at this. Mom just needs to teach me to come closer to her when she calls me. While we're at home, Mom is supposed to go into another room and call my name. I should come to her and get a reward, but I won't do it unless mom rattles a bag of goodies. The teachers says that mom will have to get me to chase her into the other room without the sound of the bag. HUMMM? I'm no dummy you know!
I stayed for yet another one of Sugar's classes. I played for a long time in my crate with my puppy bone and a toy before going to sleep. On the way home, just as we pulled into the drive way, I throw up everything. I did it a few more times inside to. In my playpen and in my crate. Mom was worried she has done something wrong, but as she was cleaning it up, she found a plum seed. We have a plum tree in the back yard and I must have found one on the ground and ate it. This could be why I had diarrhea too. I have a dogter appointment tomorrow, so we'll see if it's anything more.

I went to my first puppy class tonight. It was a little different than being at home. First thing that happened was this big glass door opened as mom pulled on it and I got my paw stuck under it. Don't worry, I moved it very fast. I met our instructor Mrs Pat. She's nice. There is 4 of us in the class. A boy Cocker Spaniel named Peanut Butter, a girl Boston Terrier named Molly, a girl Golden Retriever named Mollie, and Me. We have to start learning that when our humans call our names that we look at them. I did good at it. We are learning sit and down. I know both of them. Also, we have to learn Leave It. Do you know how hard that is? They tell you take it, take it, take it, and then tell you leave it. Are you kidding me? Give it to me! Mine, Mine, Mine. This is gonna be a challenge. We had puppy playtime. That darn Golden was bigger than me and kept sitting on me. What the heck? She kept biting the back of my neck. Mom had to remove her from being on top of me. I couldn't move. Back on our leashes to learn calming gestures. Mrs Pat used me to show everypup. I sat in front of her while she held my face between her hands and rubbed my checks with her thumbs. The minute she removed her hands from my face, I snapped at her. Oh my, mom was upset. Not mad, just worried that this could become a problem. We did it a few more times, then it was on to coming by our name. Mom was acting silly. She called me by my name, made all kinda funny sounds, and ran backwards away from me. So I chased her. It was so fun. I got treats every time I ran to her. That's all there was to my class tonight, but I got to stay and watch Sugar demo in another class. I was getting sleepy in my crate, so I didn't see it all. I hope I'll have more fun next week playing with those puppies. Maybe I'll get that Golden back.... heeheehee

Dogter Visit

Tuesday(6/2/09) I went to the place mommy calls the Vet. It wasn't to bad. I meet a lot of nice ladies there. The dogter told me I had very pretty eyes and my ears looked good. Then she listened to my heart and lungs and said they sound really good, no heart mummer:). The other lady gave me some treats as she held me. All of a sudden there was something biting me on my thigh. I screamed to let mommy know something was trying to get me. It must have worked cause as soon as I started crying it was gone. A furiend told me to run if I see a thermosomething. I didn't see it so that must be a good thing. Then as we were leaving all the ladies kept saying things like "awe, she's so cute." One lady even said to my mom, You needed another dog like you needed another hole in your head. Mom said she was right but how could she say no to something as cute as me. Anywho, now I can start going out in the yard, and play in the grass. But, I have to go back in three weeks. I hope that thing don't bite me again.

Yesterday I went places. Boy was it hot in the car at first. Then that thing mom called an A/C cooled it off fast. Our first stop was when Mom dropped of a dog, that she was doggie sitting, to his mom. Then we went to see Daddy at work. It was nice to see what he does. Lots of cars all over. We left from there and went to Auntie Gina's house, where I came from. I got to play with my sisters. Man they are still really small. I got to see my fur-parents. I played with the kid. I got weighed. I weigh 4lbs 1oz. I took some medicine. It didn't taste bad either. Something about deworming. When Mom got ready to leave, I met a horse. WoW, those things are BIG! I was so tired when I got home, I didn't eat all my dinner. Tuesday, I get to go on another trip. A place called the Vet? Mom says I have to see the Dogter and get something called shots. I hope it's just as fun as this trip was.
