Ruby was found by a friend of mine outside the criminal courthouse in Miami - my best guess is that someone brought her with them to court & then got taken into custody! David kept her for a few months, took her to the vet, took care of her, started training, etc.
About two months later, one fateful Saturday morning, I was hanging out at the coffee shop when David came in with Ruby. I thought nothing of it, as I knew he had a dog. He stopped by my table to say hi and said "Do you want a dog?" and I said, "You know, I think I do." and he said "Do you want this dog?" and I looked at her, and she looked at me, and the rest is history!
Bio:
Probably speaks both Spanish & English. Definitely had some training from someone in her first year, although I'm not the best at enforcing. Used to be a terrible anxiety chewer, but has outgrown it, for the most part. Although she gets less exercise, she seems much calmer & happier now that we live in Naples than she was when we lived in Miami.
