FOOD. She always manages to find something edible during our walks. And hunting rodents!
Loud noises, waiting for treats, when her younger brother Cricket prods her to play
Her Kong Teddy, Puff the Magic Dragon, and... cucumbers...?
Just about any meaty (good quality) kibble, boiled eggs, roasted pig skins, bananas
Through the park, around the block... Uncharted territory - anywhere is game.
High five, Gimme yer paw, Put your hands up!
Prior to our meeting the family that last owned Lucky, we know little of her past life and can only surmise her origins. From what I know, her Jindo qualities are excellent so I wouldn't be surprised if she came from Korea with her owners, who arrived in Southern California. Somehow, she made it up North where she lived with a family of four - two parents and their children. The children neglected her because they preferred the family cats, so she didn't receive the optimum attention or socialization. We found her when she was ten months old, and it took three months for her to bond with me and then we took her home. The first thing she did when she hopped out of the truck was sniff the neighborhood as if she hadn't been moved several miles. Now she's being socialized every single day and she's happier than ever. Of course, she's happiest with me as she's a one person sort of dog - and definitely a "velcro" dog of sorts. To be honest, I couldn't be happier either. 8)
Lucky is the only blonde in our family and she's a real head turner wherever she goes. In fact, she's quite the popular little lady in our neighborhood, everyone tells me she's the cutest thing so much that I'm almost tired of hearing it - ALMOST. ;)
In addition to her good looks, Lucky is quite a prissy princess. Among her favorite things to do during walks are chasing butterflies and sniffing flowers. She also loves to run; from my research I've read that Jindos can run up to 35 MPH, and I believe it. This girl is faaaast. Typically, she's pretty well behaved but she definitely has a devilish streak and can be ridiculously rambunctious. Around most strangers she is very reserved and aloof; through socialization she's getting a bit better, but she most likely will always remain a bit reserved as that is how Jindos usually behave.
All in all, she is a complete pleasure to have around. She's a very smart girl and she loves to please, herself that is - I come in at a close second.
