Arrival Story:
After losing my best friend, a westie named Virginia, I thought I would never fall in puppy love again. Anyone who has ever had a furry, four-legged friend knows how badly it hurts to lose them. This fact was magnified by the fact that she was only two years old. Finally after two long years I began to feel I was ready to venture once again into the exciting waters of dog guardianship. I knew that I would not be able to get the same breed, remembering Virginia every time I looked at my new dog would not be good for our relationship. Then my friend informed my boyfriend and I that his dog had puppies, Aussie puppies. At first I was unsure about how I would feel about having a larger dog. However, one look at her wiggly white and gray body and I knew I was in love again. I will never forget Virginia, but I am ready to again feel the unwavering love from a cuddly companion. My boyfriend and I are so excited to teach and learn with our new puppy, which we get the beginning of June, which is not too far off!

We got Dylan Thursday. We were so excited to be bringing her home finally after visiting her twice a week every week for two months! She has been doing pretty well so far, except being a pee monster. She hasn't had any accidents in the house today, so were doing good. We taught her how to sit today, it only took five minutes! We will see if she still remembers tomorrow. Took her on a walk, she eventually submitted to be led on a leash, I think we still need some practice though. It's been excited but also very challenging and sometimes aggravating. She is so smart though, it won't be long until she is well on her way to perfection.
