Arrival Story: I was looking on websites to purchase another family pet. I came across this particular website that caught my eye, and this chihuahua I kept going back to her photo, she is 8 years old. I could not stop thinking of this chihuahua in a shelter in a cage. Today my husband and I just had to run over to this Humane Society and see this 8 year old chihuahua ourself in person.
Bio: Today had to go back to the vets just for another check-up.. Dr. Sparks weighed me. I weigh 8 lbs. and 15 ounces. Gave mommy 4 months Heartguard, a prescription for 6 months supply of Heartguard. Dr. Sparks gave me a dog treat and told my mommy I am healthy. Have to go back to the vets on July 23,2009. Dr. Sparks also said to mommy I have been already spayed so I don't need to be spayed.

Baby: A Senior Doggie Prayer
Dear God I was a little senior dog who patiently waited day after day, for that special home to call my own and be part of a family. I know I am old but Lord I am young at heart, if people would see with their hearts instead of their eyes they would see all I wanted to be is free and a home to call my own.
Thank You God for my new family and a home to call my own, that's all my furry friends and I that lived in shelters every wanted. God please watch all my furry friends who I left behind, help them find homes to call their own, the joy to be part of a family and all we ask for is to be loved.
Many aren't as lucky as I am God, some of us make it out, some of us don't, some die. God thank-you again for sending me a family to call my own and loves me even if I am a senior. Thank-You God for all the new furry friends I met, comfort and care for all my furry friends Lord who went to the rainbow bridge.
Mum and pop open their home to me and gave me a home to call my own. My mum is so sentistive so am I. When mum and pop came to the shelter they were the only ones that looked at me. Oh theyre were a lot of people to come and look at dogs but they look more at the bigger dogs and the pups. Not my mom and po, they came right to me I was so glad and praying they would pick me to go home with them. I was afraid they would not pick me because I am a senior 8 years old. The lady told my mum that I was going to have to be put down tomorrow because my stay at the shelter has ran out, nobody wanted to adopt me because of my age. The shelter worker open the cage but she told mum first before she open the door that I would not probable go to her because I was skittish but she was surprized. I heard my mums voice and felt her tears I knew she fell in love with me and I felt love for her. As soon as the cage door opened mum kneeled down and started talking to me in her soft, loving voice and I came right out and mum picked me up carefully because I was neglected and very skinny. Mum held me tightly in her arms, I felt so loved, gave my mum a hug and she hugged me back. Mum whispered in my ear these words I promise you I will be back to take you home. See she had to go up to the office, the worker placed me back in the cold cage sitting on the cold cememnt floor, I waited for mum to come back and she kept her promise and came back, she calls me her babygirl now. I was so glad and happy I have new parents and a home to call my own. We arrived shortly after to my new home, first thing Mum did was give me a bath, she cleaned out my ears, she said she will wait until she trims my nails because she wants me to get settled in first. I felt so clean, and felt good to get that shelter smell off of me. Mum took me at to three walks, I was tired when we got back home, she gave me a special pillow just for me, now it is my bed. It sure is better and warmer and comfortable then that old cold cage. Pop and mum then had to run to the store to buy me some treats and puppy food, but before they left they assured me that we will be back soon, I was so happy to see pop and mum when they arrived home from the store. They are sure spoiling me and that really feels good. I am getting so much love now, were I thought at one time I was giving up hope, God sent me angels. Mum has been taking so many photos of me today not sure of that bright light flashing. Well Mum named me Babydoll but pop calls me his babygirl so they just shorten it and call me baby but that is okay. Well I had a long exhautsed day and I am pooped and ready to try out my new comfortable doggie bed. I am sure Mum will share more photos of you she said when I get a bit more fat on me not that she says I am already a cutie pie but I need some more fat on me so mum going to fatted me up. I am free from the loud barking dogs, free from the cold cage, and I get to live out my life. Thank you God for my Mum and pop, Thank-You God for my new home. Thank You God for my new babygirl. Pop and Mum loves you Babygirl.
