 Quick Bio:
 Birthday: February 21st 2004
Likes: Playing Fetch or tug 'o' war, having his belly rubbed

Pet-Peeves: The vacuum, squirrels

Favorite Toy: Rope toy, tennis ball, Kong, his "tire" and firehose toys

Favorite Food: Dog cookies, french fries, ice cubes

Favorite Walk: Mountain trails, the dog park

Best Tricks: Catching a frisbee (and just about everything else) in his mouth, swimming, "plotzing", and "ousing"

Arrival Story: It must have been fate when my husband and I went to the mall one particular day in April 2004 and walked by the pet store. We had gone by this particular pet store several times. But on this day, as we rounded the corner and and came upon the pet store, we saw a little German Shepherd pup all by himself in the shop window. Lots of people were coming and going, looking at the cute puppy and walking away without a second thought. Except for me. I knew that I would not be leaving that day without him. It was love at first sight (=.
We went into the pet store and asked to see him. I knew there would be no turning back at the point he was in my arms. The manager brought him out, and just as I stated, I knew for sure I was not leaving without him.
Our other dog, a purebred Siberian Husky named Molly Mae, had just turned one and we thought of him as her birthday present (=. Sure enough he fell in love with Molly and he stuck right to her. Tragically, Molly had to be put to sleep at 18 months old after an ongoing battle with siezures. We never found the true cause but everything points to a brain tumor. Kodiak lost his sister, and his Dad was also deployed at that time, and all we had was each other.
I think he claimed me as his own just as I claimed him months back. He has been such a great help to me throughout the loss of our beloved Molly and my husband being gone for several months.
What can I say, he's my baby (=

Bio: Kodiak is from a breeder in Glennallen, Alaska originally but we bought him from a local pet store.
