Her mommy and daddy.
Anyone getting close to her mom.
So far she has loved everything I've offered her. Lettuce, carrots
What is walking?
When I call her she twirls to get me to pick her up. She knows sit and "off' if she is jumping on your legs to be picked up.
Teeka came from the same breeder we got Brodie from. She's been family raised. She was having a hard time finding a forever home because she has a very mild heart murmur. Her birth mother called and asked if I would like her, free, and we were all over that like white on rice. I asked her now furever daddy if I could have just one more? He first said no, then when I said she really needed a home and she was tiny and not a puppy, he said, but honey we have so many dogs. I said yeah, but she's little. He relented and said I guess. Does that mean yes, I asked. Yep, might as well. Then I went on like a crazy woman jibbering and jibbering about her. (I had met her when I took Brodie for a play date) She is so tiny, she only weighs 4.1 pounds. She makes Hoss feel like a Great Dane. Picking her up is like picking up nothing. You have to look to see if you have anything.
I remember the first time I say my new furever mom. I was only a few days old and still in isolation. (I only weighed 1 lb 8oz) She had come to get my brother from another mother. Little did she know over a year later she would come back to pick me up. I saw her one other time other than that. She seemed pretty nice, she laid on the floor with all us and let us run all over her and give her lots of wet kisses. So when she showed up again I thought it was for another play time. But no wait! What's with the crate? Why's my birth mommy giving her all my food and explaining how to feed me? Then we went and got into the car and left. I DID NOT LIKE THIS! When she stopped I was in a whole different world, with dogs and a cat. I'd never seen a cat before. I was terrified and started shaking. Mom panicked and called the breeder. The breeder very calmly told mom to just set my crate on the sofa beside her and let each member come to see me. When it was bed time mom took the crate and put it between her and dads pillows and opened the door. By then I had settled down and after about 10 minutes I snuck out of the crate. Dad brought me one treat and we became buddies for life. I've decided I'm going to like it here.

Today was my second Birfday. Mom says we're going to celebrate this weekend when my little house guest has gone home.
This is a very special Story Tale from my Auntie Juanita and my Guardian Angel TedEbear and I wanted to share it with you.
There was this little adorable Pommie puppy named Teeka, who started out in life pretty good ( or so she thought). Then she was adopted by this WONDERFUL lady and her husband who LOVED Pommies and happen to have her brother, from another mother...I think this is how the story goes..BOL.
Then by a shocking discovery, the little girl was found to have a serious heart condition. And the loving Momma did everything in her power to save her baby. Even if that meant driving hours away to see a special heart Dr. many times. (Who by the way, turned out to be quite handsome!)
He said he could get her all fixed up, and that is just what he did, as the Puppy and Kitty Angels at the Rainbow Bridge all watched over and guided the surgeons hands as he fixed the little Pommie with a broken heart, and they sprinkled Angel Dust over the pawrents who were beside themselves with fear, and pain, anxiety, and exhaustion, while they waited to hear the outcome.
Today that little Pommie, Sweet Teeka, who has her very own guardian Angel named TedEbear, who does his darndest to keep her out of trouble, (and she is a stinker, always pushing the limits) is a happy , whole, fixed as if nothing was ever wrong... birfday girl!
Happy Birfday Wishes little one...

To all my faithful furiends,
I just got home from my visit to the Dogtur. He ran a thingy over the place where they made it hurt before and showed mom the results, and where before there had been all kinds of colors dancing around, now there is nothing!!! Meaning all my blood is staying right where it belongs in my heart and accessories. BOL
He said my heart is PERFECTLY NORMAL, just like I had never had a problem! He also said he didn't expect to ever see me again, unless it was to help me celebrate my 14th or 15th Birthday. Mom was doing a happy dance all around the office. (quite embarrassing) Then, you know my mom, always ready for the "Kodak moment" asked the Dogtur to pose with me. I think she just wanted a picture of the Dogtur. BOL
Soooo, from my PERFECT heart to yours,
A very BLESSED Teeka

Today was my first day home.
Mom was all neurotic before we left Phoenix, so she made dad stop by the hospital to have one of the techs look at a stitch that she thought was too PINK. Come on mom, they said, red and oozing, not pink and dry. Didn't she know I didn't want to ever see that place again? I went in that building the first time feeling fine and came out with LOTS of ouchies. Was she trying for a repeat performance? They said my one PINK stitch was fine. But they did give me a new t-shirt to cover my incision.
Oh how wonderful it was to be home and tinkle on my own grass. Mom has "Teeka proofed" the house. Stuff in front of the sofa so I can't jump up there. A three foot by six foot corral to keep me penned up when she can't watch me, and we had some bed rails, like they use for babies, that they used for Sassie after she fell off the bed and dislocated her hip, well they put them back on the bed so I won't fall off or decide to take a flying leap off to the floor. I love to jump!
I feel pretty good, cept every once in while mom touches my ribs or my incision when she picks me up and WOW does that hurt! I have to go to my dr on Friday to get my morphine patch off, then on the 26th I go to my vet again to get the staples out where they took the chest tube out. My regular suture stitches will disappear by themselves. Then the 20th of July I go back to have another echocardiogram done to make sure everything it closed right and to see if my heart has returned to normal size. It is going to take 3-4 weeks for my ribs to get well where they had to spread them. I am SUPPOSED to be docile until then. Good luck with that mom. She is threatening to hobble me like a horse. That doesn't sound too good.
Okay I have to put mom to bed, WE are tired.
Thanks again for all the love, support, pawmails, and gifts.
Teeka and mommy Pat
