Dearest Regena - I tossed and turned last night thinking of you fighting for your life in an Oklahoma hospital after having a stroke. You are younger than me and I wish I were closer to you to somehow help you in some way.
You were one of my first "dog mom" friends so many years ago when we first joined Dogster. We have laughed, cried, grieved, prayed and shared so many days together thru these years and you have become a beloved friend to all who know you.
Your loving heart for humanity has taught me so much. Your kindness and generosity as well as your humor and loving spirit touched my heart so many times throughout these years and I've always been so proud to call you friend.
I pray with all my heart that you fight like hell and come back to us as we need you in our lives. You have so much more to teach us and share with us.
Regena, I am praying for you along with so many others and I hope you feel our friendship, love, strength in the long recovery days ahead. We will be here for you, sweet girl as you have always been for each of us who love you.
Thank you for all you have done and been for me, beloved friend. I love you so. Come back to us all soon as we are missing our Regena with all our hearts.

My new friend from Massachusetts, Max, 876388 has allowed me to repost this diary entry on my page as well. It's called, A Matter of Max. Please join our new group(For the Love of Every Dog) and help us get some justice for those who cannot do it for themselves. Let this cruelty end furever.
Dogster is an amazing place full of happy, silly photos of a new stance, reaction to a toy, happy chases ~ so many cherished moments. And, when necessary, we grieve together when having to guide one of our beloved to the Bridge. We are truly lucky and loved. With that said, this diary post is not about us, but for those beautiful dogs whose lives were not humanely celebrated.
We are very disappointed and saddened that MV has been conditionally reinstated by the NFL. While it’s been stated that legally he’s paid a debt to society, a far greater debt remains and one incapable of recompense. We demand much more than a publicist-driven campaign in concert with HSUS to indemnify the torture, starvation, slaughter and sadism of MV. We want more than insincere atonement and photo ops. We want those lives that were lost to his heinous brutality and greed to matter.
As a personal form of protest to the profit-driven decision of the NFL, from this day forward we will no longer purchase items containing an NFL insignia. This may mean a change in some of Mom’s food items, but it’s our way, albeit small, of honoring the lives of far too many.
Rest sweetly, pups. We will never forget.

My beloved southern belle pal, Mamie, 15, will be making the journey to join her brother Benny who died in the same house fire Mamie survived on Friday at 5 PM.
Her mom, Denise, will give her several days of royal treatment before having someone come to her home to assist Mamie on her final journey.
Mamie was a Christmas present arriving with a bow around her neck at 1.6 lbs. and was immediately loved by all.
She has two sisters, Gwen and Violet who love her and assist her as she is blind and deaf.
Mamie was the pup who started the POTP in 2004/2005 in a group we were both in called 10 years or older. As you all know, it has since become a loving symbol to each of us and even Dogster has made rosettes and zealies showing the POTP.
Mamie led the Electric Slide dance at my wedding feeling the vibrations of the music on her paws.
Mamie recently joined many of us in Squeaky and Fuzzy on a quest to rid the world of demon squirrels terriorizing many states. Although blind, she used Loki's famous nut-thrower with precision forcing the devils back into the deep woods saving many lives from peril.
Mamie has always been known for her beautiful smile, huge heart, compassion and joy of life.
As Mamie grew older, she began wearing and making tinkle trousers a fashion statement and was seen strutting the streets of Georgia looking quite fine. Many fashion houses wanted to hire Mamie as their model for them but she wished to remain at home with her family.
Benny will be waiting to greet Mamie on Saturday as she struts to the Bridge wearing her famous tinkle trousers and smiling widely.
Please give our beloved Mamie, the POTP which meant so much to her and has helped so many thru the years. She is leaving us all a wonderful legacy to pass along.
You have been a wonderful pal Mamie and I will miss you always but you will furever remain in my heart. I wish you a beautiful week and safe journey to your brother. (Mamie 179949)
Your furever friend, Willie
