Arrival Story:
I've been wanting a golden retriever for quite some time. I recently purchased my first house and I'm getting married in summer 05. I told my fiancee I am getting a Golden no matter what. She never really grew up with any pets but in the end she was fine with it. I did alot of searching, and research with different breeders and kennels. I found one that was about 4 hours north of where we live. I will say that I didn't want to spend to much for a pure bred golden. Some around our area were going for $500-$1000. To rich for my blood. Luckily I found a breeder that had 4 puppies and he was selling them for a little under $300. I gave him a call. He didn't have any pictures, but he did say if I wanted to see him he would meet me half way somewhere. So I call my fiancee and tell her we are going to take a little adventure to get a new puppy. She was rather surprised but went along with it. We get there and wait in a parking lot. Soon after the breeder arives with Buddy. He looked very well taken care of. All of his joints, bones, fur seemed to be good. Looked like a healthy puppy. We decided to take him home with us. He slept on momma's lap the whole way home, and didn't make a peep.
