Quick Bio:
-purebred

Birthday:
September 12th 2004

Likes:
Playing fetch, swimming, wagging my tail, chow time, going for walks, watching Animal Planet, and visiting the horses and cows.

Pet-Peeves:
I dislike herding dogs at the park that try to nip my heels. I also hate being alone, but I am getting better.

Favorite Toy:
I go nuts for my raquet ball and my peppermint scented frisbee. Fetching is my favorite pastime. Mom says that I may need to enter fetching rehab soon, but I'm in denial for now.

Favorite Food:
I love apples, bananas, carrots, peanut butter and frozen yogurt in my kong. Also, I am completely convinced that Mom's two pet bunnies are food even though she tells me they aren't.

Favorite Walk:
I would rather swim than walk. I love to go anywhere there is water. Luckily I live near three big rivers, the Bitteroot, Clark Fork, and Blackfoot.

Best Tricks:
I can crawl, roll-over and bow.

Arrival Story:
Mom knew she wanted a chocolate lab so she found a good breeder online. She purchased me from rainmakerlabs.com. They are a super breeder with a great puppy guarantee located in WI. They shipped me all the way to MT on Nov. 10th, 2004. I arrived scared but soon came out of my shell and now rule the household!

Bio:
I graduated from puppy kindergarten, Canine Good Citizen prep classes and am now in agility. I love training time and Mom says I am way too smart for my own good. Apparently this is why Mom put "Zen" in my registered name, she says that way perhaps I can tap into my inner peace when I am driving her bonkers. I have no idea what that means. Excuse me, I better go practice my meditation, "ohm."

Well, now that I am feeling better, I have signed Zoey up for beginners agility. I am so excited, she is gonna love it. I am not able to run or jump yet due to healing injuries. Beginners class should be just right for us, not too strenuous for me and a fun time for her. We hopefully will be starting Saturday. It is located indoors at a local pet store, it will be nice to be out of the winter elements. Local shows are over for the season so that will give us time to get ready over the winter for the spring and summer shows. We are really looking forward to it.

The Birthday Girl!!!

091205 was Zoster's first birthday. Since I broke my foot and am on crutches, I had Uncle Charlie take her to the river for a long game of fetch and some extra long water retrieves. Zo adores her peppermint scented frisbee. She had a great time as I watched from a chair in the middle of the park. She never gets tired and we have to make her stop playing the game.

I then made Zoey birthday pupcakes for a little after dinner celebration. I iced the chicken and bacon pupcakes with yogurt and peanut butter and she absolutley loved them. Is this dog spoiled or what?

Zoey's recooping

My little girl was spayed two days ago. She was sore yesterday but is doing great today. Zo milked it for everything she could yesterday, she got extra snacks for those sad droopy eyes. Instead of playing fetch we went for a long walk today. She also got microchipped while she was out.

Now at 6 months she is 60 lbs. She is still growing like a weed. My husband has been gone for 3 months to army training and when he comes home I don't think he will recognize her. Zo is still fetching like a crazy dog and is learning to do some spectacular leaps to snatch the frizbee out of the air. Hopefully she won't go to nutty during her down time after surgery.
