Arrival Story:
We decided after long deliberation to get a dog. I'd always had Labs growing up, and wanted one of our own.
We were at Walmart and saw the animals available for adoption. Joe said we could look into getting Bud, so I went down there the very next day. Bud was in the Lucky Dog program, so he was at the prison getting trained by the inmates for six weeks. We had to fill out an application for him and meet all the requirements...including a fenced in yard. (Which we hurried up and did).
When the day came that we could go pick him up, he greeted us like we were his long lost parents. (We'd never actually seen him in person before, just a picture). We took him home, and he's been our hairy son ever since!
Bio:
Bud's daddy is a firefighter, and so Buddy has learned some fire safety tricks. If you show Buddy a burning match, he will stomp it out. Also, if you hold a smoking match under his nose, he wrinkles it up, making a not very pretty face!

As some of you know, my daddy is a firefighter. Today, he got called out to help someone, like he does almost everyday. When he got home, my silly momma put on his bunker pants. I'm glad Daddy took a picture. You can see me in the picture, laughing at Momma.
I'm so proud of my daddy for being a firefighter!
