Hi pups,
We know you like updates into the whole of Gypsy. Hehe. This is properly going to be my last entry for a while.
I turned 18 months on 1st September. Can you belive it? Things really do go quick when you're having fun.
We've been working on some awesome tricks lately, like walking up the stairs backwards, a trick we like to call "do you wanna be an elephant?" and doing a handstand up the wall. The things we do for the fun of it.
Agility is awesome! I'm ace and mums starting to catch up now. Hehe.

Sorry I haven't been around much again. We've been busy doing other things throughout the holidays and arn't missing the computer that much.
I like to update my diary every so often so here goes.
We went to the beach last Wednesday. It was great fun. Silly Jet refused to stop drinking the sea water and was sick. Salt water's not good for us pups at all. I had more sense and kept returning to our water bowl filled with nice clean water. See photos HERE
I've had my first two agility lessons since my last post. I've taken it like a duck to water. Surprisingly, I'm the only Border Collie in my class. There's a Rottie, three terriers and a Lab, which means I'm the faster there. Hehe. I really need a new handler though. Mum is too slow and gets completly confused with her handing. Any takers?! Hehe.
We're mainly focusing on the handling system and doing some small courses with jumps and tunnels. I love the tunnelzzzzz!
We've got a lot of postive comments from everyone. The first time I had a go we got a "wow" from the other members, which was appropriate as, well, wow. Even Mum was impressed. It means alot to hear positive things from other people. Someone commented on me being so focused on Mum and someone actually said they were jealous! Can you beieve that?!
The most important thing is that, I LOVE it! Mum says my little face lights up when I get out the car and see the equipment set up.

Hi pups. Early yesterday morning, I went along to my agility introduction sessions.
We didn't do alot of physical stuff, mainly talking and explaining, which is borrrrinnnng. So I had fun exploring the field and rolling in some lovely fox pee.
I won't bore you with the explanations of what we did, but the trainer was impressed and said I'm going to be a great agility dog. We start next Saturday in the novice class with 4/5 other dogs. I'm looking forward to it.
This week we have some homework to start to prepare for the class.

Gotta quickly tell you guys about today.
We went along to a dog class. It was great fun! We were doing competitive obedience stuff and I totally rocked. We did a formal retrieve, send aways, recalls, send to a mat and lots more. I could pretty much do everything and the trainer was really positive. I just need to work on my presents - you need to get really close, which is a bit odd.
As some of you may know - Mum is very picky when it comes to dog classes and trainers. You want the best, right? She is really happy with the club and the trainer is really nice and friendly. The classes are really small and she gives everyone individual 1 to 1 time.
We have a bit of a dilema, though. I can either carry on with this sort of class OR move onto agility. The trainer said I can pretty much do everything for the classes and have enough focus to do the agility. I'm leaning towards trying the agility because Mum's wanted to for years. And we could always go back and do some obedience later. We have to contact her next week to arrange a 1 to 1 agility assessment to see how we go.
Also, the trainer has experience in Freestyle/HTM training and knows a few people who judge/compete so maybe we'll get to give competing ago?! Maybe you'll see us at Crufts in a few years?!

Hiya pups.
Sorry I've been absent recently. Must get Mum to let me on the computer more often.
So what's happening in the world of Gypsy?
Mum is taking me to an new dog school next Saturday, which has recently opened. The woman sounds really nice, has lots of experience/qualifications and only uses positive methods. Success.
The school also runs alot of other activities so hopefully once I've done a little obedience to prove I'm really a good girly, we'll move onto some other classes, including HTM, Rally and Agility. Exciting!

Hiya pups. Long time no blog. Mum likes to read back things so we thought we'd better up date. Mum's been listening to Glee songs alot hence the title - Dream on is an awesome song, look it up pups.
Annnnyyyyways. Last Tuesday I turned 15 months old. Can you believe it? To celebrate, we went for a long walk up a steep hill so we had to stay on our leads. But it was still fun anyway. There were lots of lovely views. We also saw some Donkeys in a field. They came right up to the fence. I decided Donkey's were odd, scary things and hid behind people, growling. And them people, they stroked them. What? Don't they understand they could have been attacked or, even....eaten? Mum said I properly had nightmares about them that night. Maybe?
On Wednesday, we went for another walk to some woods and tried to find some bloke called Robin Hood. I don't know who he is, but he must live in the woods. We didn't find him though...
Last weekend I went to my agility class again. It was fun. I'm quite impatient though - barking, barking, barking. The trainers said that once Mum gets control of me, I'll be a little star. Mum's waaaayyyy too slow for me. We did a mini dog walk, which is wider then a normal one and a mini A-frame. They were fun. I wasn't allowed on the proper dog walk. Something about being too manic...!
Your'll see I'm showing off my England flag now in aid of the World Cap. Com'on boys!
And finally, congrats to Jet, who won the DDP Challendge a few weeks ago too. x And also turned 10 years old on 15th May (which is why she's a grumpy girl at the moment. BOL.). Here's to the next 10 years. x

The title says it all! I've actually been on the sheet for three comps now but the first two I was only surposed to watch at the back of the ring so have never run.
Overall it went well. I had a few moments of blondness where I forgot what I was doing and once I decided it would be more fun to hop out my lane and chase the other dog (luckily I didn't jump into his lane and he wasn't fased by me).
We ended up 5th and I got a nice rosete. My first one!
It was a very long weekend we arrived at 10am and got home at about 6pm. Bu I can't wait for my next.

Today Mum took me along to an agility club. It was fun!
It's not competitive, more of a come-along-and-give-it-a-try club. Which we like, since I'm only 14 months and still very mentally immature, at times ;) Haha. Also with my flyball, we don't want to do too much too soon.
I was in the beginners group. We did some low jumps and tunnel, which I know from other places. We also did a tire jump and a collasped tunnel, which I picked up straight away and was jumping through. Mum was suprised that I wasn't even fased slightly by the collasped tunnel. We also started working on the dog walk. There was a plank layed on the floor, which I had to walk "slowly" along. Ha, slowly... BOL. Mum has been working on a 2o20 contact on the door step on home so I even starting doing that a bit at the end.
Apparently I'm too fast, or rather Mum's too slow. BOL. As shown in our attempted weaving.
Anywho, it was lots of fun! I got really excited waiting for my go. Ever tried holding an excited and impatient 14-month old Collie still? It ain't easy. Haha.

One year ago this day, I traveled, on a wimp, the 1 1/2 hours to look at some puppies.
After looking in rescues for a few months and having no such luck, I ended up with a fluffy white creature who I named Gypsy.
What can I say about her.
She's fun, drivy, beautiful, loving, so so smart, my best friend. Still...we've worked through her issues and have a little more to deal with.
I wouldn't change her for the world.
I love my Gypsy Girl. And I love my Mum

Mummy says, I am the most amazing dog in the world!
I'm doing ace in flyball at the moment so we had to brag.
Running without netting - no problem, triggering the box - no probs, taking the ball all the way back - sweet....Chasing Benji back down - oh, that's not part of it? But it sure is fun anyway!
Ah, that's my day done. All sleepy now.
