Arrival Story: It all started almost 4 years ago with Parker. I was looking for my very first dog and knew I wanted a Pomeranian. After getting a list of breeders from the American Pomeranian Club, I found Parker (then "Smokey") for sale on an "APC approved" back yard breeders website. He was a month old, and I was smitten by his photo. 5 weeks later he came into my life and I knew why there was the adage "Poms are like potato chips. You can't have just one!"
A little over a year later my father passed away. I threw myself into helping a friend adopt a Pom from a rescue. I went with her to the rescue to pick up her dog and became friends with the rescue coordinator. She asked if I would foster, and a week later called me with a potential foster dog. His name was Pedro and he was a puppy mill rescue. Very sweet, but had major trust issues and needed lots of love. Oh, and there's something wrong with his right eye. The next day my Mom and I went to pick him up and three days later, my birthday, he became Jack-Jack, my 2nd adopted Pomeranian.
Having two boys in the house was great, but I was dying for a girl. I saw Bebe Belle (then "Morgan") listed for adoption at Smaller Paws & Poms , the same rescue Jack-Jack is from, and I knew she was The One. She had a great, happy Pom smile and looked like a combination of Jack-Jack and Parker. Also a puppy mill rescue, Bebe has been quite the challenge. She had major housebreaking issues, fears, and idiosyncrasies that even almost a year later we're still working on. Despite her issues, she's the sweetest, most wonderful girl and has proven to be a wonderful addition to our little pack!
