What a View!

It has been a very long time since I have written in my diary.
On Feb first I was out in my backyard when I started to feel really strange.I didn't know what was wrong with me.I tried to get up the steps to scratch on the door but I just couldn't make it.My mom came to the door to check on me and I was just laying there at the bottom of the steps.She was really scared then cause I NEVER lay down in that spot.Well I did finally get up and mom helped me inside but I was feeling so weird and out of it.
I lay on the livingroom floor for a bit and mom called the vet to tell them about what I was doing.They asked her to bring me in as soon as possible.
Just about that time I began to have a really big bad feeling in my head.I was shaking and drooling and I felt so cold....I was afraid but mom was right there with me and that helped.Finally my dad got me to the vet and they were checking me out when all of a sudden I saw the most beautiful sight.......It was a wonderful big field of grass and flowers and lots of trees and so many pups that I just couldn't count them all! They were calling me to come play with them.At first I didn't want to go and leave my family behind...then I just couldn't help myself from taking a giant leap.I had to cross over a bridge to get there but it was really easy! When I got to the other side I looked back and couldn't believe my eyes.I could see forever and ever.It was beautiful and I am happy!

I Did Good!

Well,Dad is back home and he said I did a wonderful job while he was gone!
I went outside this morning and I was shocked!Somebody stole summer!It was a really chilly morning.It was cloudy,rainy and downright crappy!I hear from the lady on TV that tomorrow it will be nicer.I sure do hope so....I hated today.
Me and my sisfur Maya have been chillin for the past week or so.We haven't even been playin tag much.Well,we did have a really good run down the hallwaythe other day!Maya started it...we were just kinda playin around and she took off.I had to chase her...right? We started off kinda slow but by the time we reached the hall we were at full speed!We went right through the half open bedroom door and jumped for the bed.That thing must not be nailed down or somethin cause it slid all the way across the room and up against the wall!!OOPS..!! Mom thought the house was fallin down,,hee hee!We didn't get in trouble...just put outside for a while.
Life is good at our house.....!

My First Job!

Today I got my first BIG job! Dad had to go out of town so he told me I was in charge of security! At first I was a little unsure of what exactly security is.I'm pretty smart but I can't know every human word.I am only two years old...geeze!
So,anyway I guess I got the Blank Look and Dad explained the whole thing to me.These are the rules he gave me........
1. Do not let anyone bother Mom
2. Do keep my ears open for strange noises while Mom sleeps
3. Make sure the doors are locked tight before bed
4. Remind Mom to turn on the porch light at dark
5. Do Not drool on my pillow while you sleep on my side of the bed
6.Be a good watchdog and protect your Mom and Maya

I don't have any problems with rules 1 through 5 but let me tell you that Maya sure don't need MY protection!!She can be one mean girl dog when she needs to be!She even scares me sometimes!!
I guess this means that I won't be takin as many naps as usual....I can do that for Mom!I love my Mom lots!!!
I am the MAN of the family for the next couple of days and I will do a good job! I promised Dad.......

Lazy Days!

I LOVE summer! It has been very warm in Hillsboro,Ohio where I live.I think everything smells wonderful! Did you ever put your nose right down in the grass after your humans mowed it?I did that today and I swear it made me feel like I was in heaven!I went all over the yard checking to see if it ALL smells that good...it does!

Then we got the flowers.....I didn't know that if you put your nose in a flower you get this stuff all over your nose....did you?It made me sneeze and shake my head.My Mom laughed at me.....She said they were lilies.They smelled good but I don't like that STUFF! We got us some Honeysuckle vine growin right beside our fence and Mom says it will make the whole yard smell good when it blooms!I can't wait for that!

I think humans make their food outside in the summertime.Some days I smell all kinds of food stuff.My favorite so far is STEAK...it makes me drool when I smell it cookin!! BOL!

I'm gonna go lay my handsome self down in the smell-good grass and take me a nice long summertime nap!!!

Oh Happy Day!

It is over......Weekenders Gone......Peace and quiet !
Early this morning Maya and I went out in the yard.We were looking through the fence at the lot behind us when we noticed that the big noisy thingy was makin some weird noises!What the heck is up with that?Well wouldn't you know that just then a human walked around and unhooked something from the side of the thingy.The whole side of it went in and it was like half of the size it was a minute before!"Wow,that was cool" I said to Maya.She wasn't impressed at all.We discussed the matter and decided that if the humans were making their house thingy smaller they must be leaving!We watched for a few more minutes and then we had to go in for breakfast.

Time passed and we forgot all about the Weekenders...we was nappin...at least I was!

So,now its like three in the afternoon and I hadda go out! Bad....!Mom opened the back door and the lot behind us was EMPTY! They were gone...yipee! I walked the whole fence line to check and it was just like they were never here!I stood still and listened....no strange pup noises....no strange human voices...I was sooo happy!Life is good!!

I wonder if they will all be back next weekend?
I'll keep my ears open......

"Good Grief"

Well,its that time of year again.Weekenders!!!
I guess I should explain that huh? We live right by a beautiful lake where not very many people live year round.Every summer way to many humans invade our space and it drives me to distraction.Mom says that is the price we have to pay for living here but I don't like it much!
So today me and Maya are out back in the yard just chillin when we hear this huge machine rumbling into the lot behind our yard!Geeze,it was loud and big too!So the thing stops and a door opens and all these humans get out.They are laughing and makin lots of noise.Like any good watchpups we ran to the fence and barked them to get out of there! Hehe,they were scared but they didn't leave! Rats!So Mom has to come out and explain to them that we are just doin our job by letting her know there were strangers about.The humans were nice and said they understand that we don't think anyone should be there.They shouldn't as far as I'm concerned!
Mom says that we just have to get used to the noise and humans being where we don't think they should be.She says they will be gone in a couple of days and then we won't see them again for a while.Some of the humans come every weekend and some only come a couple of times each summer.Sometimes they bring their pups too!I get peeved when they let their pups run free and they come to OUR FENCE and bark at us!! Dumb humans that don't keep control of their pups.They could get lost or worse and it wouldn't be the pups fault!
I guess I'm finished ventin for today...I'm pretty sure I'll have more to say on the matter later!

Whats a Told??

It has been a couple of days since I wrote in my diary because my Mom (secretary mom) has something she calls a TOLD! What that means is beyond me.I know that she isn't acting like the Mom I know at all.She keeps making these funny hacky sounds and blowing her nose all the time....yuk!My dad brought her home some medicine stuff and when she drinks it we all go to bed.I do love my naps but this is way outta control! I do have stuff to do outside ya know!
I hope this told thing goes away soon so I can get this house back on Dozer time.
I would go take a nap but I just can't sleep anymore!!!

Visitors!

It has been a very busy week around our house.One of my favorite family members is here visiting us.Her name is Robyn and she is my human sister's oldest daughter.She moved away a little over a year ago to someplace called Louisanna!I really love when she comes to our house cause she lets me nibble her ears and give her big kisses! I think my Mom is gonna put a picture of the two of us on my page.
I love all my human family and they love me too!I know there is a picture of me and Beth,she is Robyn's little sister, already on my page!She always lets me sit in her lap when she is here!I am a lap dog no matter what anyone says!
My Mom finally made a page for Maya and I am sure happy about that.She was always bugging me about my page and it was a pain in my tail,if you know what I mean!Maybe now she will shut up about it and leave me in peace.
I have been spending alot of time lounging around in the sun lately.I love to stretch out and soak up some rays when Maya will let me.She seems to think that being out in the yard requires running and playing non stop!I have been trying to explain to her the joys of total relaxation and napping.She constantly nudges me and points out the fact that I have missed another squirrel,bird,bee or anything thing else she seems to find so interesting!Girls are so busy all the time and
it drives me nuts!!
She is resting on the porch right now so...NAPTIME!

Home Alone!

Yesterday morning everything seemed pretty normal.We woke up,ate breakfast and did all the usual things.I love when my Mom makes sausage gravy cause she always makes extra and puts it on our food!!Yummmy stuff that gravy!!
Anyway we were just going about our usual day when I heard my humans talking about a cookout at Amy's house...what???Amy is one of my human sisters by the way and I just love her!She has four kids that Maya and I are especially close to.I digress.....
So,before you know it we are saying "see ya later" to Mom and Dad and off they go.We were really good ...for a while.....! I was sleeping on the bed when Maya decided we should have a game of tag.You know how she LOVES tag! The next thing I knew we were tearing through the house jumping and having a ball.Right up to the part where Maya decided to hide in her favorite spot behind the rocking chair.I was trying to get her to come out and finish the game but she can be sooo stubborn sometimes.The only alternative was to go in after her.Mistake number one.
The rocking chair is right next to the big window with lots of curtains hanging over it.Well,they used to be hanging over it anyway!Are you starting to get the story?
I'm not quite sure how it happened but...when our humans got back home the curtains were in a big pile on the floor and we could see all the way across the yard!We didn't tear them up or anything really bad so we didn't get in big trouble.Just bent the curtain rods.
I'm thinkin next time we will probably be waiting outside.Being home alone can be fun sometimes!

I'm The Man!

I couldn't believe it when my Mom told me that my diary was chosen as one of the daily picks! I am soo full of myself today..Woof Woof for me!
I won't let it go to my head though cause Mom says humble is good and being overly proud is not so good.
I have only been a member of Dogster for a very short time but I just LOVE having a place to really belong.
I am slowly making new friends and that makes me feel happy.
I am very glad my Mom found Dogster for me.
Soon my fur sister Maya will have her own page here.My Mom is waiting to get some really good pictures of both of us before she does Maya's page.
I have lots of fur family that I want to be a part of Dogster too!
My Mom is telling them all how much fun it is!
I have to thank Dogster once again for making me one happy guy today!!!
Time for my afternoon nap.....
