Favorite Food: EVERYTHING!!! We called him Pika Boy because like some children with the eating disorder he ate everything from raw rice to soap
Skills: Terrific Mouser, finding food ANYWHERE, Acting like a Puppy (getting into the same type of mischief as a puppy)
Arrival Story: Little J. was found roaming...after we got him my husband was sure someone let him go on purpose -Little J. drove my husband nuts although Little J. did occationally charm him as well. We took him to the Animal Welfare Legue to make sure he didn't have a micro chip in his neck. The woman who scanned him said that the people who lost him were very stupid... I said, "Except for the fact they lost their cat why do you say that," and she added, "because this is a Thousand Dollar Cat." I was dumb founded. How could anyone spend a thousand dollars on a cat. But he was adorable and stayed at my house for around 9 months until we could find him a really wonderful home. Little J. has a wonderful new family and they allow us to visit him whenever we wish. He lives with Grandma Selena and her two grandchildren Joshua and Jacob. They kept his name Little J. because he fit right in with the Family names. They have another siamese cat named Sasha whom he gets along swimmingly.
Bio: Little J. (named after the character from the Batman Movie "RETURN OF THE JOKER" and my husband Joe because they had matching Eye Color) is a Snowshoe Siamese. He has Beautiful Blue Eyes and an Enchanting Masqurade Mask over his eyes. He is full of mischief and magic. We are so happy he found a wonderful home to reside the rest of his days.
Lives Remaining: 1 of 9
Forums Motto: He must be talking about our Little J.
Little J. would steal your sandwich right out of your hand when you weren't looking ( I have photos to prove it). He's a crazy little rascal but adorable with his mask drapped over his eyes. He was named after the Batman the animated Series movie "RETURN OF THE JOKER" He would be the Tim Drake (Robin)Character that was transformed into Joker and Harley Quinn's Little J. aka Joker Jr. What Celebrity would Little J. be? Well the answer may surprise you...
Wow, your cat is Will Smith!
A fresh prince in the pursuit of happiness, Little J. is megastar Will Smith!
Putting the jazz back in jazzy, Little J. is always moving and grooving to the beat of his own internal drum. Not one to settle for second best, Little J. only takes on projects that are sure to draw attention and improve his pawpularity in the pride. Little J.'s broad appeal across breed, age and gender lines means that his actions often lead to his being named best in show. Smooth, suave and debonair... he's the perfect pet to take home to Mommy. Not lacking in the looks department, Little J.'s toothy grin would send even the most furrocious group of alien invaders spinning helplessly back into space.
With all the excitement going on over here I almost completely forgot about my birthay. It just kinda snuck up on me and ~POUNCE~ one year older.
I do believe I am getting even more hansome as the days go on.
P.S. I forgot if I told you or not...Heidi found her family. They came to pick her up Sunday night! Her real name is Cookie that's why she answered to Heidi - same sounding end. The "Y" sound is very pronounced in both. Her Mate Fonzi is still missing. So anyone in Chicagoland if you come accross a black and red male GSD let us know.
Thank you so much, Catster, for making me Diary of the Day!
I am excited to be Diary of the Day or course!
But Even better news!
Now Heidi, the lost Dog we found, will get even more Press!
This is Great News!!!
We are anxious to find her family.
She is a good dog and deserves to be reunited with her loved ones.
In the mean time we'll love her and provide her with everything she needs.
During the Snow Storm Today I found a Female GSD near Harpo Studios -The Oprah Show. Specifically 2 blocks down at Carpenter and Lake.
She is a black & Tan - slightly grizzled but NOT sable. Wearing a Collar with no tags. I drove for an hour and a half through the traffic caused by the storm to my house and during that time I called out every name I could think of. I got no reaction to any name except Heidi - she picked up her head and moved toward the driver's seat from the back of my SUV for a head scratch. So, that's what I've been calling her.
The vet said she is at least 3 years old and she does not have a micro chip.
I'm told she's looks like she's been out for over a week.
She is dog friendly and cat friendly because I have 3 German Shepherd Dogs and a cat and she reacted well to seeing all of them.
She is very sweet and curious. If we lived in a city that didn't have a pet limit we might be considering keeping her if her owners are not found. But unfortunately this cannot be the case. So we need to find he owners ASAP or we'll have to turn her over to someone.
Here are some Photos posted on the Craigslist advertisement that we took really quickly before giving her the bath. She looks a little nervous in them but she's not a nervous dog. She was very curious and couldn't stop sniffing and investigating to take a good photo. We know her family is searching for her.
