Arrival Story:
I have always been an animal lover and while i was with an ex boyfriend we decided his Rhodesian Ridgeback Geti needed a friend. So this next dog was to be mine. I did some research and having always admired the husky or artic breeds of dog decided i would like to have a husky. We went down to the local Sacramento City Animal Shelter and came across this husky mix who was extremely timid and had been rescued from a life on the american river. He was malnurished and whoever had owned him prior to myself was extremely abusive. Unfortunately because nobody came to claim him they don't know his exact age or details about his past. Anyways we brought him home and showed him all the love he deserves and what a real family is like. I've had him for a year and a half now and have increased his weight to a healthy 55 lbs and got him from being extremely hand-shy and scared of loud noises and men to being confident, curious and loving. He used to avoid men at all cost. Now he'll go right up to anybody and sniff them out, tho he can still be weary if approached too quick. Of course i still have work to do but he's the most wonderful dog i could have ever hoped for!!! Very calm assertive! Cesar would be proud!!
