Arrival Story:
I found Patti by browsing through the internet. I came across a site that had ads and the ads read,, Rottweiler FREE, needs to be given away asap or will be put to sleep. She barks to much. The ad was over a week old and I called the #. She was 3 states away from me but since I already owned a Rottie I couldn't live with myself if I new that I could have saved her. I drove for 6 hours each way to get her. She was over weight, hair loss in some places and very scared of males. The owner said here she is take her and didn't even say goodbye to Patti. Since Patti been in her real "Home" we have come to the conclusion that she was very abused. For many months she would have nothing to do with any males, regardless of the age. She would run into a corner and winne and shake. It took a long time for her to trust any male (we are assuming the husband the previous owner hit her).She flinches and runs when we raise our hands or a broom. She doesn't like thunder or when we yell. But since she is with other doggies and she is now loved she is much more comfortable with everyone.Pattie gets very nervous when babies cry and she starts to lick and lick and lick them, but we don't mind! She has been with us since 2002 and will remain with us forever. Patti holds the place in my heart reserved for the extra attention. I love you Patti and never forget it.

My Patti has crossed over to Rainbow Bridge.
She passed peacefully in her sleep. She was born May 1st 1999.
She joined our family in the year of 2002.
Beaten and abused by her previous Mommy and Daddy. She left her past behind the minute she hopped into my car to take the long ride to her forever home.
The ad I read on the Internet said; " Free! Rottie! Barks to much! Must be picked up today or will be PTS tomorrow." Seeing that I have a weak heart and I already feel in love with the Rottweiler breed I could not live with myself knowing I let down a helpless dog. So I took the long trip 6 hours to Maine and 6 hours back. I went to pick up my smelly, overweight grizzly bear!
Patti overcame many obstacles while being part of our family. She learned that not all humans were "EVIL".
Patti learned that taking a bath was a good thing.
Patti realized good food and clean water was always provided.
She knew love was unconditional and returned the love back.
Patti's belly rubs was numerous!

Boy I'm telling ya I'm gonna be 7 years old and these youngins think I'm a kid.. I just want lay in the sun and soak up the rays... I need to catch up on my beauty sleep..........

Well sorry I haven't written much lately, we've been busy around here with the baby and all this snow where are having. Momma says last month we had a "Blizzard" 2 days ago we got a foot and momma is complaining again to daddy that more snow is coming. I don't understand why she is upset I love the snow! Me and Free sometimes fight to get to the door the quickest to go outside. LOL. Asim on the other hand hates the snow. Daddy calls him a big baby. Poor Asimie Beanie. I heard momma telling daddy that its time for one of us to go to the vets of our yearly check up. So momma call and it was Free and Asim's turn, mines isn't until a few more months. Momma and Daddy took them both in at the same time. Momma couldn't handle Asim so daddy had to come along to bring him in. Momma always had lots of questions for the drs so that's why she had to go. Well enough about those 2. The other day when it was snowing I got to stay outside with my human bro X and we played for hours, but at the end of the day my legs were achey so momma gave me a special massage. She says that I'm not as young as I used to be so X needs to be more carefull with me when we are climbing snow banks. It sure was fun climbing. I can't wait for the next snowfall.....

Boy do Free and Asim have energy... Free yesterday was so hyper with all this snow I kept barking at her through the window to calm down and stop running around the yard that I scared the little baby. He started to cry and I got nervous. So I ran around the table a few times. Momma patted my head and told me it was OK. I kissed the baby and I feel better now. Asim was playing with Xavier and I heard Xavier laugh well I thought he was crying so I ran to him to see if he was ok and he is. Boy do these kids have alot of energy. I'm tired so I'm doing to take a nap now. Good night for now.
