 Birthday: October 27th 2007
Likes: I love to do poopie on the hardwood floor in Eema's formal dining room....hee hee...it makes Eema crazy!!!!

Pet-Peeves: I hate it when Eema gets mad at me for doing poopie on the dining room hardwood floor. I guess I have to put up with the "Whine" since I had so much fun doing the "Crime."

Favorite Toy: My favorite toys are Abba's socks. As soon as he takes them off, I grab one and shake it until I know it's dead!

Favorite Food: My favorite food is the same as my sister Tzili's....Eema's Pizza Bones - those yummy pizza crusts she saves for us!

Favorite Walk: Being the Drama Queen that I am, going for a "walk" is not my thing. I'd rather just "run" until I drop....then I "whine" until Eema picks me up and carries me home!

Best Tricks: Tricks...no way Jose! Drama Queens don't do tricks!!!! We have others to tricks for us.

Arrival Story: I was a Hannukah/Christmas gift for my Eema (which is Hebrew for Mom) from my human brothers, my human sister-in-law, and Eema's good friend Maria. That's also how I got my Hebrew name (Matanah Zah'ir Brinah M'el - which in English is "Tiny Brown Gift from God"). Eema also tells me that "Brinah" is Yiddish and means "brown" and also "protector."
I guess you could say I was tiny. I was the runt of my litter and was only 3 pounds when I came to my new family. Even a year and a half later, I am still barely eight pounds. But you know what they say about dynamite....even a little bit creates a huge explosion - which pretty much describes my personality! I may be small, but I can make a huge production out of the smallest event. And loud..... you haven't heard loud and piercing until you have heard me when I get excited! My high pitched bark causes the people waiting in the check-out line at PetSmart to plug their ears! But when they turn and see how beautiful I am, they forget all about the pain I caused when my barking busted their eardrums.
Sorry, I have a tendency to go down rabbit trails (Eema says that's because I was bred to chase and kill rabbits) - back to my story.
The first month with my new family, my feline siblings pretty much hated me. They would either hide from me, or hiss and smack me with their "declawed" paws. With exception of Yaffa, who still has her claws; she was the only one of my feline siblings that welcomed me and made me feel at home. My Eema saw what was happening and felt sorry for me because no one wanted to play with me.
One night about a month later, when Eema was snooping around on Craigslist.com, she ran across a Craigslist listing for a Black and Tan Piebald Mini-Dachshund puppy that needed a new home and was about the same age as me . The next day we went to meet her, to see if she and I would like to become sisters. It was love-at-first-sight, and now there are two of us! Tzili and I became sisters and the best of friends as well! But of course, you know who remains the Alpha in the house....I may be 12 days younger than Tzili, but I am still the Queen. Even Abba says so....he's always calling me "Drama Queen."
Eema says I'm the little Princess - where ever I go, everyone stops and tells my Eema how gorgeous I am -- with my long auburn hair. Eema says I'm a Chocolate Long-Haired Mini-Dachshund, but when the sun shines on my hair, it really looks more auburn colored than chocolate. Unlike my sister Tzili, whose eyes are so dark brown they are almost black, my eyes are Hazel Green. Everyone loves my eyes! In fact, everyone loves me. It's no wonder that I am the Queen. The other day my Ema called me a spoiled brat....is that a good thing????
