His red ball!
Going into his kennel...he hates that
Anything - he's a lab!
We have yet to take him to different places (just adopted him)
Well, he learned to lay down on command in a week!
Jake is a 3 year old chocolate lab. He is originally from rural Michigan. His owner refused to keep an eye on him and his 2 year old son (a yellow lab), and refused to pay the fines for letting his dogs roam. So he took them both to the pound. A lab rescue we hooked up with heard about Jake and we agreed to meet the cutie. 700 miles later and he's now in NH. It was love at first sight when we met him. He has a few issues to get over - but every thing he does it totally understandable. I mean the poor guy didn't have the proper guidance or direction in life. And you can tell his owner used physical reprimands - if you tell him to drop something he shouldn't have, or raise your voice (even if it's not even near him), he puts his head down, squints his eyes and pees. Poor thing. Don't worry Jake, your new family's got your back! :)
Where's the ball??!!

I was adopted on March 29th. I am originally from rural Michigan. My first owner didn't know how to take care of me, so me and my 2 year old son would run around the country side. I have some issues to work on - but my mom says that the important thing is that I am here - with my new people, and they love me very much. I know it will take time for me to settle in here and get used to family life again, and thankfully mom and dad know it will take time. They are not rushing me. :)
