I was a delivery driver for Jason's Deli in San Antonio TX. I was working on a Sunday (my day off), I had just clocked out and was ready to go home, when I was asked to punch back in and take another delivery. I was pretty steamed to say the very least. But if I knew what fate had in store for me I would have done it happily.
I arrive at the apartment, food in hand. I noticed a beautiful red doberman puppy hanging out on the porch, as I walked past. I was getting the credit card slip signed and I complimented the customer on her beautiful Dobie. She told me her and her husband were both in the Army, and a friend of theirs had given them the dog because he got stationed overseas. I thought nothing of it, and went to go pet the dog and unravel her leash. I will never forget the next 7 words that sweet woman said: "Do you want to take her home"?
