Arrival Story:
After having her sister Lakota for a few years and loving the breed we wanted another. So we called Kota's breeder and as it happened Kota's Mommy was pregnant with her final litter (different daddy). We were put on the list and Mother's Day weekend Baby Kia was ready to come home. My husband and I drove to CT to meet our new family member and as you can see by her baby picture she was adorable. I walked in the door and she came bounding up to my feet, promptly sat down and looked up at me, I was hooked. We brought her home and she met her pupsisters, true 1/2 sister Lakota and Golden Sister Augie, plus Goldie (recently passed away Golden sister. She bounded in like she owned the place and hasn't changed since. She is the complete opposite of Lakota, full of the devil and energy to spare. She found Augie immediately as her playtoy and vice versa, but it was Kota she formed that family bond with immediately. They snuggle together endlessly and Kota has become her Mom, Big Sister and protector all in one. She came to work with me everyday for the first year with Augie and now spends her time home with Kota (who always wanted to stay home with Goldie (they are my homebodies) or were. When Goldie passed Kota needed another homebuddy and now all 3 stay at home while I am finishing my business expansion. Once my Doggie Daycare is done they will be with Mommy everyday playing at our Daycare as Pup Camp Counselors. Until then they cuddle all the time and Kia keeps me on my toes every minute of every day.
