Arrival Story:
Dwain had planned on getting me a lab puppy for my college graduation in May. On April 6, he went by the Bossier Animal Shelter to pass the time in between classes. He laid eyes on a 3.3-lb. black lab puppy and her yellow sister. Jackpot! He knew that's exaclty what I wanted and also knew that if he waited, the precious puppies would be gone. He left to get a crate and some supplies, came back and got Bella. Here's the kicker -- He lives 4 hours away from me, so he had to keep Bella a surprise from Tuesday until I arrived for a visit Friday night. When I walked in his house, the rest of the family acted normal and Dwain called me from the back to come and see something. I walked into his room and he handed me Bella. I was in total shock. Heart pounding, sweating -- the works. This little tiny black ball of fur was mine. That's the beginning of our "love story."

Bio:
Bella has many lab relatives. Her favorite is her black lab cousin Sophie. She also has 2 chocolate lab cousins -- Hershey and Jake -- and a new black lab cousin named Satchmo. Her bestest play pal, though, is Jake, a black lab who is just a couple days younger than she is. I met Jake's mommy online and we turned out to be practically neighbors!
