Arrival Story:
Sass was a show hopeful, however she had the audacity to grow a little too long (1 whole inch!). She was shelved, retired and left at home when the rest of her family travelled the country to shows. Timid and obviously lonesome her owner decided she had little time for her. When she was 5, she came to live with me, and became the center of my universe, never to be lonesome again!

Bio:
When Sass came to live with us, she was afraid of her own shadow, would hide, & always flinched when I would reach out to pet her head. She shivered uncontrollably in the car, and since having her voice "softened" as a pup she hardly ever spoke. It was sad to see this little girl so unsure of herself. But that was then.....Today, she a shadow of her former self! She is no longer afraid of the car, and races me to the gate whenever she hears the keys. I bought her a lookout seat and a pair of Doggles which she wears faithfully to keep from squinting when we have the top down. She has found her voice again, or what's left of it! She swims with me and floats happily in her life vest when it's hot and although she doesn't really like it, she no longer hides from the brushes, tooth or hair/fur. She seems to understand it's for her own good. She and the cat have become a tag team when the tree rats invade the avocado trees and her ratting abilities are nearly as good as the cat's. All in all we are happy with her progress and love her to pieces.
