She's finally here!!!!!

I went to pick up the new baby on June 10th. She was born April 23rd 2009. Her name is Meka. I traveled over 3 hours one way to pick her up. She is a blue female Catahoula. Her first night in her home was very easy. No crying. I let her and Cheyenne sleep on the bed with me, something that doesn't happen on a normal basis. She cuddled with Cheyenne and me all night. She went on her first walk around the property, got her first collar, and her first nail clipping. She is a wonderful addition to the family. She plays hard for awhile then sleeps even harder.

A few changes in puppy plans

So the original plan was for Mom to go see the babies on the 7th and then for her to go back on the 23rd and pick ours up, but Mom gets to go pick her up on the 10th!!!!! Also Mom is getting the Blue female that she originally wanted!!!! She is the only blue female in the litter. The owners decided they weren't going to keep her afterall, but if they were going to mom had decided she was going to get a red female. Which also would make a great addition to the family.
So we get to bring the little baby home soon!!!!

Going to see the babies

On June 7th Mom gets to go see the babies and maybe then decide which one will be ours. They will be almost six weeks old then. It'll be a long trip, over three hundred miles one way. Then mom will have to go back on the twenty-third to pick her up. She's almost ready to come home!!!!!!!!! it's been a long six months waiting for her.

So Mom has decided on a red female Houla. She is eight days old today. So now Mom just needs things for a new puppy, and a name to consider. She will have a registered name, but she needs a good call name too. She won't be able to come home till mid June, right around Mom's b-day! So we still got awhile to go.

I'm a big sister!!!! (Almost)

Mommy is getting me a little brother or sister!! She started looking at the end of January, and found someone at the beginning of March, we've been waiting ever since then, and the puppies were finally born yesterday. Now I just have to wait 8 more weeks, till I can smother it in kisses, it's a Catahoula too! Just like me, I know I'll love it. (I love everything)
