Well, after all the grief my family has put me through this just takes the birthday cake (which by the way I didn't receive that from my people today). As you all know today is my birthday but my people forgot! How dare they? They didn't remember until the afternoon! Now, I've ALWAYS remembered their birthdays and give them a little licky here and a licky there... But they can forget it now! They did get me a few presents but it still doesn't make up for their forgetful actions. All their excuses just go in one ear and out the other. "Oh I'm sooo sorry Loubers, my job is closing down soon so I have lots on my mind" or "sorry Louann, but I am getting older, and I get no sleep I forgot because of my old age" or "I'm sorry Loubees, but school has been hard lately"! Well forget them! They think their lame excuses and their nick names for me will help!
I have got to get an lawyer because of my horrible people!
Well ta ta!
Louann.

Well, for all I've done for my people I just get dirt back!Lately,my people have been delaying my walks!"Oh but its too cold out side!" they wine!Well they can just suck it up,you know, moving your body keeps you warm cold or not!Luckily,I have learned how to walk my self now!And I do a much better job than my people who think they are the goddesses of walks! For all you Dogster pals out there, here are the steps to walking perfectly!
1.Walk with your head held high to show your people that you don't have to put up with the lack of people food, walks, etc.
2.Hold the leash handle in your mouth to show that your smarter than your people.(I mean who holds the handle in their hand!?!)
3.Always march to show that you don't need orders and that you know what you are supposed to do!
If it weren't for Petey and all my other Dogster pals,I don't know what I would do!

My people went to get me my Iams Healthy Naturals dog food at Walmart today. They happened to be out (unusual), but in it's place was Iams Premium Protection. My people bought this although it was 5 dollars a bag more than my regular food. Mommy decided to research to see if there was enough difference in the ingredients to change my diet slowly....
Oh boy, what did she find? All the recalls and all the experiences of people who had sick or dead pets due to the lack of Iams doing a proper recall. My people watch the news daily and had never heard of anything about this. Well, they took all the food they bought today back to Walmart. No more Iams for me. I have been switched to another brand, which btw, happens to have chicken as the first ingredient--not chicken byproduct. This new food is only about $3 more than that new Iams garbage. I love my new food. My people are very upset that they never knew of any of this until doing a simple internet research on ingredients.
Thankfully, we have internet. It's also good for me so I can socialize with my Dogster pals.
You know, I can live on the people food and they can forget all dog food. I would be happy and probably healthier too.
Kisses,
Louann

Hi Dogster pals,
It's Louann here to let you know that my people are trying to gain celebrity status at my expense. I have a skin condition called Sebhorea. This condition is caused by my skin making too many cells while the older ones can't come off fast enough, thus leading to nice thick dander.
I get quite itchy from this. I hate being brushed because mommy is just a little too rough with the brush. She wants to get those dried old cells off. Anyhow, I love getting a nice scratch with a back scratcher or a nice rub on the top of my back near my tail.
Well, my people think this is hilarious as I moan, drag my head and body along the carpet, and have my butt up in the air. This can go on for long periods of time. Yeah, they laugh--I can handle that, but now, they have gone and put me on you tube. What do you think of that? My personal, most private, intimate moments for the world to see. What is it with our people who claim to love us and exploit us?
Oh well, can't complain too much since I get fed well and I do get those itchy places scratched.

Well, if getting sprayed by a skunk wasn't enough, now I have to put up with the stingy enhancements in my food. When I moved with my people, I only ate doggy kibble and doggy snacks. My people, being previous dog owners, just can't resist the sad eyes we give them when they eat their food.
Over the time living with these, I'll call them stingy people today, things in my house, I have become accustomed to people food enhancements in my kibble. You know, a spoon full of people food helps the dog food go down. Well, I used to eat cheese, but now I hate it. I have gotten used to hamburger, steak, pork chops, sausage, and most favourite--bacon.
Well, this morning I get the old sob story of "we have to get groceries". Last I sniffed, they have all kinds of goodies in the freezer that they can cook up for me. I know there is chicken, pork chops, and other things. I don't get it. They give me cheese and cry the blues. I refuse to eat my rotten food. We dogs want justice. I don't want to hear about killing us with kindness by giving us their food. To heck with that. I would rather die a happy dog than live the kibble and that rotten cheese life. Any advice from my fellow dogster friends?
PS. Apparently, I way 73 pounds. As far as I can see, the doctor scale is wrong--way wrong. I am supposed to weigh 65 pounds, well that's basset hound weight. I am a mixed breed. Basset Hound and Labrador. This is how I calculate what I should weigh. One Basset Hound at 65 + one Black Lab at 75 equals 140 pounds. As you can see, I am way underweight. Anyhow, who cares about my weight? Other dogs still love me and I have no body image issues. There was a very rude lady who said "Oh, look how fat she is" when I was walking last week. I don't know who she is to talk since she was quite heavy herself. So, where's the beef?

I got sprayed in the face by a skunk this morning. Mommy washed me with doggy shampoo at 6 am until she could do research on what to use. Anyhow, the whole house smells so bad that we don't know how to get the smell out. Well, I like the smell but my people don't. It is everywhere--even when a cupboard is opened. I am not here to talk about their problems. So the house stinks, to them, but I am the one who had to endure the 1st cold bath with the doggy shampoo and the cold water from the hose. I was then left outside for almost an hour. They walked me for an hour hoping I would air out. I then, after mommy's research, had to endure the vinegar, baking soda, and dish soap scrub down. This whole thing was terrible. I was foaming at the mouth when I came in right after being sprayed. All I am hearing now is what to do about the house. I still smell a bit but the house, mommy says is unbearable. Her clothes smell and she had to excuse herself while out at wal mart because she smelled so bad. I like to share my smells with everyone. BTW, after my bath, I rubbed my face right back in the mud where the skunk sprayed me. Even after 8 hours, that still smells skunky in the back yard. This was a bad day for me. Has this happened to any of my pals in Dogster?

Hi to all my doggy pals,
Yesterday was my birthday. I had a great time and got some fun toys as gifts. I don't know my real birthday, but yesterday was my 1 year anniversary at my new home. I figure since I don't know my real birthday that I would just say that it is every day of the year. That would equal lots of presents. I was told by my previous owner and what she found out from the people who rescued me, that my real birthday is sometime in September 2006. Anyhow, am very happy that so many people love me. I am also very happy that I have a lot of friends on Dogster!!
Thanks for the birthday wishes,
kisses,
Louann

Today my owners put a biscuit in a shoe box.
I am very smart because I got it out of the box.
It was fun and tasty.
