Dogster Friends and Pals,
Back in October Rain wrote in her diary about a very special Wolf pack and our friend, their guardian, J. Harris. Things have not progressed as hoped & there are still many obstacles to overcome. My Birthday wish is for our friend and her beautiful wolves to be Free from their troubles and to be able to have Peace once again.
Thanks to a very special group of Dogsters who have answered the Call of the Wild, and donated their time & skills, a new website has been made for these beautiful wolves and their guardian. Our dear friend Lena Malik & her humom have put into words exactly what we wanted to say. The following is from Lena Malik's diary.
"A few months ago we thought our friends, the Care Again Wolves were on their way to safety and the haven they deserve. Little did we know that the biggest battles and obstacles are occurring now. They need our help, time and support.
Think of when you have felt the pull of your basic instincts friends.... to protect, to belong, to perhaps roam or explore or simply to sing or communicate. We can ALL trace our lineage back to the wolves and we have them to thank for our very existence. Please take the time to visit the new website my dear friend Nika has made and explore, get to know the wolves and their plight and donate what time or money you can for a worthy cause. Thank you, Lena Malik"
CareAgain is a non profit organization which raises wolves, performs wolf studies and in the past has offered outreach programs.
Zoning changes made it mandatory to relocate the wolves and time is running out due to lack of funding and helping hands. The wolves were moved to a pristine nature preserve backing into a national forest in Colorado. Presently volunteers are urgently needed to help finish building the fence to ensure the safety of the wolf pack. The materials are there with a single set of human hands trying to manage it alone, due to the weather and other duties like feeding and tending to the wolves, it has been nearly impossible to accomplish this important task.
People interested in volunteering near Woodland Park CO. may contact J. Harris at:719-748-3780
Please have the patience to leave your name and number to be reached TWICE as the answering machine is less than state of the art and the wolf guardian is often away tending to the wolves.
You may also contact Sasha at LenaMalikhusky@gmail.com with any further questions.
Donations of any amount towards this 501 non profit organization are welcomed and greatly appreciated. If you are able to help you can click on the donation button on my page or visit the website. Thank you!
Please join us at our new website! : CareAgain Wolves
