Greta seemed to understand everything I asked of her and would do anything I asked of her.
Arrival Story:
Greta came to us when we had no dogs. I had been looking for the right dog to add to our family. My sister told me about a co-worker who had 2 Doberman pups that he was keeping in a small trailer. I decided to take a look. Greta was tied to a corner of the living room, and had only a small area to move. She was left like this all the time. I started to take her outside and she was scared to leave the house. After some convincing she followed me outside. I fell in love with her instantly and decided she was the right one. I paid him for her and off we went. The other pup wasn't there. He had gotten Parvo and had died. I was so glad I got Greta. She is the Queen of our Household. She was 14 yrs old in January 2006. She was so intelligent and loyal to the end.
Bio:
Today, March 6th, 2006 was a very sad day in our house. We had to help our Sweet, sweet Greta go home to the Lord and our Angel ^Kiska^. She was diagnosed with Lymphoma and it was getting the best of her. With her age she was not able to fight it very long. It was so hard to let her go, but our love for her saw us through. We feel truly blessed to have known her and to have shared her life for 14 wonderful years. Be at Peace, dear Greta. You are forever a part of us and will live in our hearts forever. On Feb 22, 2009 we lost a dear & cherished friend...Lassie joined the Angels at the Rainbow Bridge. Please say a prayer for her & her family whose hearts are broken. She was 4 yrs old with a heart as big as the sky, always there to help, to encourage & to share in joys & sorrows with us all. We will miss you sweet Angel...
LIFE...so fragile. LOSS... so sudden. HEART...so broken.
In the wake of such a loss, we're haunted by things we don't - and may never - understand. Yet the solace we seek may not come from answers. So we look for comfort in the belief of love's everlasting connection. May that love lift you, hold you close, and give you peace.

A beautiful Labrador Retriever/Alaskan Husky who is a pal of mine, whose name is Baby, sent me this invite to play Tag. I need to list 7 things about myself & then you are supposed to tag 7 more pals. Looking down on all of them I can see how busy they all are getting ready for Turkey day, so I will skip tagging anyone & just wish all my pals a wonderful & happy Thanksgiving!
Now, for 7 things about me -
1. I was a very, very spoiled puppy.
2. I could tear up a whole couch & not get in trouble!
3. I really liked cats!
4. I could scare anyone away who came to the door just with my bark!
5. I loved going fishing & was great at catching them.
6. Unlike the rest of my family, I did NOT like Snow...Brrrrr!
7. I loved being called the Queen of our pack!
