Best Tricks: Standing up tall and dancing with you. He's a GREAT partner ; )
Arrival Story: We got Dauber from a small hobby breeder when he was 10 weeks old. I had been with him since he was 2 weeks old bonding, going to the breeders every week, snuggling, playing... We wanted to get into service work with Parkinson's patients, and animal assisted physical therapy, and after a year of training Dauber was ready... but Society wasn't. No one would give it a chance :( except Schriner's children's hospital and at that they wanted him certified 12 different ways from Sunday.
So now Dauber is just a really educated member of our pack. The Patriarch you could say. Father figure to the masses that pass through our doors to their forever homes.
Bio: Unfortunately we lost Dauber on Thursday 10/15/09 suddenly and unexpectedly to DCM (presumably). He was fine active and healthy right up till the end when he just dropped at my feet and was dead with in 10 minutes despite every effort to revive him. This has come as a TRAUMATIC shock to me and I am having a VERY difficult time coping with his loss. He will live forever in my heart.
