Whole raw carrots and banana are my fav treats. I only eat kibble but one day, I know mom will let me taste some of her chicken.

I only walk around my street but I love running free in my yard.

I'm learning puppy things right now. No tricks yet, but I can sit, lay, "look at me," and come...sometimes. I'm a rascal with a short attention span. I do talk in my sleep. Is that a trick?

Arrival Story:
Hi Folks! My name is Rufus, I'm a Chow/Shep pup living in Palmdale, CA. Mom asked that I tell you all how I came to be part of the family. Well, the start is sad. I had a beloved big brother, Murphy the Dog, who passed away before I was adopted. Murphy passed suddenly and mom's heart was broken. She needed a fluff ball, pronto! Mom and Dad searched for a pup to fill the hole in their souls, and so my story begins... My birth mama is a Chow. Dad is probably a Germ Shep. Mom and my siblings were sent to the shelter to be...well, you know. I was to young to be, you know, and the shelter contacted a local rescue group. I was at a foster home playing with other dogs and cats waiting for Mom and Dad to find me. Thankfully, they did, and I am now the baby of the house. I have two cockatiel siblings but they're off limits because, I must admit, I menance them a great deal.

Bio:
I love to run, run, run. I also like to bite, bite, bite. Mom and Dad are trying to teach me to only bite my toys but, I'm 1/2 Chow, so I have a stubborn streak! I'm learning to walk on a leash and I take walks around my street. I love the smells! I don't go potty on my walks. I prefer the privacy of my own yard. So, when I have to potty, I pull the leash and make them take me home. I LOVE other dogs. When I see a dog, I pull and bark and cry in hopes that they will play and run with me. I can run nonstop for 90 mins! My life is young, but so far so good. Life is happy and healthy and I can't wait to make lots of Dogster friends!
