 Quick Bio:
 Birthday: August 15th 2008
Likes: People, fetching sticks, cuddling, gentle massages, bully sticks, big dogs

Pet-Peeves: Dogs or humans trying to take things away from her outside. (We are working on this.)

Favorite Toy: Sticks in the yard

Favorite Food: Chloe is a great eater and not finicky, but of course loves meats, raw or cooked.

Favorite Walk: Anywhere

Best Tricks: Sit, Down, Wait, Off, Go to your bed, Roll over, voluntary check-ins, some agility cues

Arrival Story: Chloe was found as a stray, then dropped off at a shelter because the family was losing their home. New Rattitude volunteers heard about her plight from a dedicated shelter worker who fell in love with her.

Bio: Chloe loves people. She is a friendly, active, 12-month-old, 20-lb Rat Terrier/JRT mix brimming with personality. She is crate trained, house trained, pad trained, and a graduate of beginning obedience. Chloe does extremely well with clicker training. She likes hard Nylabones, bully sticks and playing with Kongs and other tough toys. Although Chloe loves children, it would be best for her to live in a home without young children, as she tends to guard "her" things. She would love a teen or adult with an interest in lovingly firm training and regular exercise with their four-legged buddy. She travels well in a crate and is open to new experiences. She eats calmly in her crate and sleeps well there, too. Chloe's tolerance for cats in the home is unknown. She has several times climbed a 4 ft. chain link fence to get to a cat outside her yard. When she cornered the cat, she excitedly invited it to play.
She needs a yard with a tall privacy fence or other type of fence that deters climbing. She is not interested in escape, but is very interested in deer and playing with the neighborhood kids.
Chloe has learned to go easy on tiny dogs, but play is safer and she has a lot more fun with dogs her size or larger who can take her naturally physical play style.
Chloe dearly loves pets and cuddles and will roll in your lap, offering her velvety head or spotted belly. She's had a hard time learning to relax and trust and needs a kind soul to be her forever person.

Every New Rattitude dog is: Spayed/neutered, vaccinated, wormed, checked for heartworms, on heartworm preventive, microchipped, given all other necessary health care
Favorite band: The Lounge Lizards (She digs the pieces with honks, burbles and tweets.)

Chloe went home yesterday. Seeing her relaxed and happy with her new "daddy" brings tears of happiness for her. They are so good together. Chloe is a lucky girl.

Last weekend I had the best time! I got to play with the big dogs at a great big park. Usually, I go with the little guys at the park and I've been grouped with dogs my size at a daycare. But, holy cow, those big guys sure know how to play!
I romped and ran. Zoom, zoom, zoom! They knocked me over and chased me. I played as hard as I could and they played harder. Wow. I kept checking in with my foster mom like "Really? Really I can play as hard as I want? Woo hoo!"
It was crowded, so there was a point when it got kinda tense with the dogs and the people. We left so I wouldn't get hurt. That's what my foster mom says anyway. I swear I would've been fine!
I curled up in my crate for the long ride home. Muddy, tired and happy-happy.

Since I graduated my first obedience class, I'm now learning agility. I was already good at the bar jumps, but my foster mom insists I go easy on'em 'cuz I'm young yet. I'm being introduced to some other obstacles and you know what's really fun? The tunnel!
I was fluent with the verbal and hand cue in, like, three minutes. Woo! I run through that tunnel without hesitation. One of my foster sisters got in the way and I didn't care at all. I just focused on the tunnel. Well, and the roast beef I knew I'd get at the end of the tunnel. But still. The tunnel rocks!
