Arrival Story:
I went to the Passaic Animal Shelter looking for a dog for my Mom, who's Chihuahua was mauled and killed by another dog. : ( They didn't have any little dogs, but I saw her and couldn't stop thinking about her. I went back the next day and the shelter was overrun with pit bulls seized that past night on a raid of a dog fighting ring's home and there were so many dogs they were all in crates lined up and they were still trying to fight each other. Princess was there and she looked so scared of all the chaos. I took her outside for a walk and she practically jumped in my car, so I adopted her.

Bio:
Princess is infamous in the neighborhood for living through a fall/jump off the roof of a three story house. It was a hot summer's night and I left a window open to cool off. I was on the top floor and another neighborhood dog kept barking. Princess decided to bark back and she climbed out the window onto the roof, but quickly slid down and fell off. She only pulled her two front leg tendons (no broken bones) and after months of bandages, casts, and surgery, she's good as new. Princess is also the honorary mascot of the Passaic Animal Shelter.
