Arrival Story:
My mommy and daddy were looking for someone to complete their family with their two daughters. They found me online on a site called Craigslist.com. The woman who owned me before my mommy and daddy had a 5 month old little boy and didn't think she could balance her time to properly care for me, her son, and then work. It was sad when she would go to work. I would have to stay in a kennel the entire time she was gone. Mommy and daddy came to see me and brought me home with them after they fell inlove with me. Now, I'm happy in my home. I get to run around and play with mommy and daddy's little girls. They take me for walks and trips to PetSmart. I don't even have to stay in a kennel anymore! I love it here.

The Housebreaking Blues

I've heard about huskys being thick-headed, reading that obedience classes are almost a must, but never did I think it would be like this! I never knew of a dog to be this dominant, this hard-headed...

Rachel? Meet the world of a pack dog.

By the way, I'm Rachel and I'm Tucker's parent. Nice to meet you.

I've never had a real pack dog like a husky. My life was always filled with toy poodles and everything that came with them, like frilly bows and grooming like you wouldn't believe. What made me step into the husky world? My husband.
My husband, Chris, has always been in love with huskys, but I don't think he even realized how much work this is. He is active duty in the Air Force and I stay at home, making me the one having to deal with all the training. With two little kids, this is tough work, but is getting done.
Tucker is doing well with puppy pads, but he almost refuses to go outside. He would prefer to run and play. The wind shakes him, thunder is an all out fear, and rain is despised. Our weather is not helping this situation.
We plan on getting Tucker enrolled into some doggy obedience school, which my husband will be taking him to. Before that, I'm trying the sit/stay with him to no avail. All I really want is the housebreaking. That's all I ask for.

Please, Tuck. I know you understand the concept. You just choose not to do it.
