As nice as winter with all that fluffy white stuff was ... spring (yep, spring comes late up here) is rocking and rolling. The deer are back, so are the birds and I'm having one hell of a time getting them off the property. I just wish "they" didn't call me back every single time I was starting to chase one - some lame rule about the dogs not being out unsupervised. Bummer. But other than that, life is sweet. Having both of the working from home is pretty hard to beat, either. They even got rid of all the old furniture and got some really nice and cozy stuff. I (okaw we) even got a Canine Couch - that thing is gigantic. And they've given up on not giving us toys, the female now just buys a whole bunch of them, we rip them into pieces and then they buy new ones. I'm pretty sure that my (fine, our) toy budget is bigger than her shoe budget. ;-) Oh, and we got two cats now, too. Looks like nobody else wanted them and I'm nut sure how we ended up with them. Anyhow, the guest room is now called Fort Cat-Catraz and double baby gated. Not sure what all the hype about cats being feisty is all about. Ours just lay on their backs and act like dogs - haven't even tried to scratch me once. Oh yeah, and we got 26 chickens in the sun room, I really like those guys, I can sit next to them for hours and watch them waddle around, I'll be really sad to see them move out into the chicken coop ... oh well.

After almost 1 1/2 years in Boston, the humans finally did it: They bought us a house, Yep, our own house with 11.3 acres. No neighbors in sight, either. Nobody. Plenty of trees, woods, our 'soccer lawn', our own pee/poop lawn, it's awesome. Kicking. They finally got us a King Bed, too. Plenty of space for all four of us, still can't believe my luck. The furry one of the two even bulit us a hearth so we have a nice and cozy spot. The unfurry human bought more dog beds (I think we may have two in every room of the house) - not quite sure why she did it because we got a new couch as well. Cream colored which goes insanely well with my brown and Jake's black hair. Life is good.

Finally, we haven't had a yard since we left Los Angeles. I do have to say that I still miss my palm treets, I have been promised a new one once we move. I'm slightly excited, 11.3 acres just for us. No neighbors, no BSL, no nasty kids barking at me. Hah. I also heard that we'll go skiing and snow-shoeing, should be fun. Did I mention that we'll finally have a yard again. Thank goodness.
