Arrival Story:
Me, my partner and my children went on a camping holiday, the lady in the next caravan had taken her children and her two lovely bullmastiffs on holiday with her. After spending a week with this pleasant breed we decided that we would look more into the breed. We read books and looked on the internet about the breed. After carefull consideration we decided that this breed would suit our family. Several months later we had a phone call from the lady that we met on our camping holiday with the 2 bullmastiffs. Her Bitch was going to be a mummy. We got all excited and when the puppies were born we went to see them at 2 days old. We decided that we would have one of these puppies. When the puppies were 6 weeks old we went back to the house to have another look at them and pick the one we wanted. We were so disappointed on returning to the house, the puppies were gorgeous chunky puppies, but had developed a very nervous temperament being around the young child. Then we found out that the father and mother where not registered with the Kennel Club and she really did want a lot of money for them. We left and on the way home we both decided that one of these puppies really was not for us. This upset me dearly as we had seen them 2 or 3 times since they had been born. Over the next month or so we carried on looking for the perfect bullmastiff to join our family. Then one day on a search we found a bullmastiff breeder in Warwickshire, this was quite a way from Manchester where we lived. We called the breeders who were very nice and helpful. We decided to drive to see the puppies the day after. We set off early the next morning to go and look to see if one of these puppies would be suitable for our loving family. We arrived at the breeders home, they were wonderful people, very welcoming and definately knew the bullmastiff breed. They had 2 puppies left, 1 dog and 1 bitch. They told us that the price was reduced as he had the grandfather of the puppies and he was getting a bit aggressive with the male dog. We had already decided we wanted a dog and not a bitch, so we spent about 2 hours with the puppies. I fell in love with my little Evo immediately. The breeder was fantastic he told us everything about the mother and told us a bit about the father who we have found as his own web page, his name is Judamar the Gladiator. After spending a good couple of hours at the breeders home we set off on our long journey home with our new member of the family, our little Evo. Evo was 9 weeks old when we got him and he is no longer that small little puppy, he is now 17 months old and is huge. He has brought so much happiness and laughter into our families life. We would be so lost without the bullmastiff breed in our loving family, we hope to have many more happy bullmastiff years left.
