Don't hate me because I'm part pitbull...

My mom is not a gangsta drug dealer, she's a Sales Manager. I go to work with her a lot and get to hang out with her co-workers. Everyone there loves me, and gives me tons of pats and cookies. I get tons of exercise - when I go to the office with my mom, we walk up to 8 km per day!

I wear a martingale collar and not a heavy choke chain or studded one. I'm always on leash unless I'm in one of my mom's friends' or family's backyard - and then only if it's fenced in. My mom only lets me play offleash with dogs I really know, and then she's watching us very carefully. I love most dogs but I will admit there are some I'd like to scrap with a bit. My mom won't let me go to dog parks anyway, because there some untrained and aggressive dogs that like to hang out there and if another dog tried to mess with me, I might just fight back. And then it would be my fault, cause y'know, I'm the pitbull.

I've been to three levels of obedience and I'm now taking agility. I love jumping and tunnel zoomies. My mom works at the obedience school part time, so she's always learning things she can teach me.

I get upset when left alone and am a bit of a crybaby. Wussiest pitty-mix ever. Though I'm very active when out in the great outdoors, inside all I want to do is snuggle with people. I'm a 40 lbs lap dog, they tell me.

My mom made sure I was spayed so that I'll live longer and I won't get myself into trouble and wind up with pups. There are so many pitties in shelters in Toronto, why contribute to the problem?

I'm registered, microchipped, up to date on all my shots and on a heartworm preventative and a flea preventative program. My mom takes good care of me! It makes me upset to see my pitty and staffy cousins whose lives aren't as happy as mine and whose people aren't as caring and responsible as my mom is. Those dogs are the ones who act out and who get the whole breed in trouble. They are thinking of banning pitbulls in Ontario right now. I might have to wear an ugly muzzle whenever I'm out in public!

When people first see me, they get a little scared. I'm really a very good girl. I'm happy, I'm enthusiastic, I'm sweet, I'm smart, and I'm part pitbull. I might lick you to death, and my wagging tail can probably do a bit of damage, but mostly I'm just full of love.

Kisses and tail wags,
Siris

P.S. My mom says to speak out against breed specific legislation!
