Arrival Story:
When I was younger we had a pug named Bandit. Since I was only 5 when we got Bandit I really was not his care-taker. Also I was a curious child and his curly little tail and velvety soft ears were too much for me to resist and because of this, Bandit did not like me too much. After Bandit passed away when I was 17, I desperately wanted another pug. I had fallen in love with the breed and since I volunteered for a rescue group, I wanted to save a little puggy. In December 2008 my mother found out about Curly Tail Pug Rescue in NYC and we began the process of finding a perfect little girl for us. In early January we learned about Tammy who was rescued from a puppy mill and we were told about how her foster mom thought she would be a good match with us. Tammy had some medical problems which are at the moment resolved so we were not able to meet her immediately but good things happen to those who wait. We adopted her on January 17th and even though it took some time for her to adjust we are all very happy!
