Arrival Story:
Adopted Jake from the Louisiana SPCA shelter.

Bio:
Jake was an abused dog found wandering and wounded on the streets of New Orleans. I adopted him...he was the first dog that was really mine alone. I helped him get from an emaciated 68 lbs up to a healthy (and maybe a tad portly) 115 lbs and helped him learn to trust people again. Jake died in his sleep in March of 2002 while I was at work. I really don't know how old he was...anywhere from 7-12 years old. He was a great dog and I still miss him all the time.
