Hello Dogster Friends!!! My name is Diesel and I am so happy to be here!! My mommy bought me off the side of the road to save my life. I was the last puppy that those awful back yard breeders (why people breed while shelter animals die is beyond me) had at the end of the day and my future was unknown! But then my mommy showed up and I snuggled into her neck and we rode off into the sunset. I liked being the only dog until I got older and mommy's work hours got a little longer.. Thats when my mom decided we would foster another boxer from Lonestar Boxer Rescue for the holidays. Well, needless to say... we became "foster failures" and adopted little Mia, my sissy. She was in pretty bad shape. She had demodex, she was starved and her ears had all sorts of infections. Thats when I decided to step in and help mommy care for her. I began cuddling her, I let her eat first and the whole bowl if she wanted, I licked her wounds, played with her to get her strength back, gave up ALL my toys because I wanted her to be happy. Since Mia came along, mommy has really been busy saving dogs and volunteering for Dakota Rescue (The BEST rescue EVER www.dakotarescue.org). She has brought home some very sick and afraid dogs that I love to help. My mommy and I make such a good team that she blessed me with a little brother "Zeus" not too long ago. He is pretty funny looking, he only has one ear that stands up, he is kind of grumpy because he is 8 years old but he is coming around to love me and Mia. Just yesterday he was licking my head. I never imagined a 17 pound dog would father an 80 pound dog like myself, but it works in our little dysfunctional family. Just like with all the others, I cuddle my new brother and let him know that his first 8 years may not have been the greatest, but the rest of his years will be filled with love, happiness and tons of fun!! I hope my story moves you to check out the awesome dogs sitting in shelters all over the U.S. They really need homes. Mommy wishes she could save them all and so do I but there just isnt enough room. Please opt to adopt from a shelter, check out my sister Mia now!! She looks like she ran away from Paris Hiltons house or something as good as she looks! All it takes is love. Thanks for reading!! Love, Diesel
