Arrival Story:
When the Pens were in the playoffs in 2008, I thought one of the players had a cool name for a dog (I was planning an a little black and white girl Shih Tzu). Once we realized Priscilla needed a younger playmate, we sorta ruled out the Shih Tzu and started looking for a black female pug, after several disappointments with different rescues - we were just going to consider a puppy from a breeder. Friday at work, I received two emails from my friend who no longer runs a rescue, but knew were looking. The first was was from another rescue, saved from a puppmill, the second was Riley - yes he is a boy and so is Nicco - Patti and her powers of persation. LOL!!! Chris and I instantly fell in love with Riley from his picture -then we learned his name and knew it had to be Rutuu, we have a neice named Riley. I did meet the other pug and although she was aborable too - Rutuu stole our hearts from the start.

Ruutu just stole our hearts and fit right in. He and Prissi became fast friends and he gets along well with Nicco and Spike. He listens well, except at bedtime, he refuses to sleep on the floor and is a bed hog. He loves his crate, especilly his little black one he rides in the car in, he will try to get in anything that resembles it, including some of my purses (think I should take the hint and use smaller purses?).

So the momma, her gets on these health kicks and makes smoothies in the morning to take to work, instead of using the whole banana, she shares a nibble with each of us furs. Delish......yummmy, yummy, yummmmmmy!

Today she makes us go outside for our banana treats.... WHAT?????

That crazy woman put my banana yummies in a block of ice!!!!! WHY??? WHAT????

Prissi was not happy either.....she wanted to take hers back in the house.

I had to work for it, but it was worth it and well, I had Jewels' too!

A New Years Eve Poem

Twas the night before New Years Day and not a bully was stirring, not even a pug, exhausted from their big day out.

Momma's uniforms hanging on the rod to dry, because she works every New Year Day and she only has two. The big evil meanies.

The Big Guy's hearty laughter at the Lone Ranger wakes me from my slumber to a smell that is oddly familiar, and not, I am hoping Momma does not think it was me in the house.

Our bellies are full, I am hoping we soon eat again and then slumber on our new Christmas blankies until the morning light.

At midnight the bubbly will flow and all will exclaim HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

A Little More Positive About This Santa Thing

Prissi reminded me that we have new Christmas collars waiting for us to wear to see Santa, which is good since my Pens collar is a little old......but what harness to wear?

Momma is helping me out, she has watched me like a hawk and chased me with the broom when she caught me near the yard candies.

The Big Guy says we are gettins baths tomorrow, so I will gets my teeth cleaned and that will help my breath too!

So do I need to take Santa a gift? Will that make him bring me more prezzies?
