First, going on walks so we can hunt. Riding in the truck, second.
Being left home alone. Bicycles. Strangers. Cats. Feral chickens. Really little people (they are so scary!)
Anything furry we can chew and shake.
Everything. We are not picky.
A quiet dirt road winding through pastureland.
Our guardian found us in the newspaper. She came to pick us up and was introduced to our father, an extremely handsome guy, and to mom, who was looking like she had recently had nine puppies. We were her last litter. We were the remaining two littermates. Guardian asked for both of us, but the breeder balked. She knew something was different about Buddy. She advised Guardian against taking Buddy. But Guardian insisted. She wanted both of us. She and her husband worked, and she wanted two dogs so they could take care of each other when alone. You know, cleaning ears, snuggling and chasing lizards together. Our Guardian understood the breeder intended to dispose of Buddy, so I guess that makes my brother a rescue dog. I'm really happy he was rescued. Yes, he has issues, but he's my best friend, and he is the best hunting buddy in the world. We are happy, lucky doggies. Guardian is learning how to help Buddy manage his fears, we have a nice big fenced yard to zoom around in, and the recession has gifted us with less alone time. Life is good!
Let's go hunt mongoose!
